Synopsis....This is an extremely clean 1968 Barracuda Convertible. There are two different types of classics. These are either "restored" ie, taken off the frame, stripped, and all new interior, badges etc, so the car is essentially a 2012 and very expensive to do. There is also an original car, by which it was the goal of the owner to keep it intact as possible. This car has been painted, but not restored. Every body panel on the car is original. There were less than 3,000 Barracuda convertibles produced that year, and who knows how many are left. There is not one rust issue on the car. The quarters, floors, trunk,hood, rockers, doors, deck lid, and fenders are all rust free. It was painted in the early 2000's to the scheme it is now, and suits it well. Is equipped with Power steering and power convertible top. (soon will have power brakes) The Motor is in excellent running condition with no issues. As mentioned below, It has electronic ignition. The plugs and wires were also replaced this week-end. It is a 318 numbers matching engine. Along with the transmission, it leaks no fluids. If you are explicitly searching for a Barracuda, I highly doubt you will find one in this condition. Being in California for the majority of its tenure is truly evident. This needs to be seen/drive in person to appreciate. It has been gone through top to bottom, and is ready for a long road trip if that is your intent. The New/Replaced in the last few years- Rebuilt Steering box, and steering column was re-aligned (receipts included)- Replaced entire front suspension was rebuilt in 2003. (3000 miles since then)- Replaced Convertible top.- Installed New Tires- Rebuilt 2v carburator - Replaced plugs and wires last week.- Installed Electronic ignition module (no points anymore)In Progress....Since this car came with manual brakes, I have purchased a power booster to install. This will be finished by the end of the week.
