Up for auction with No Reserve is a 1997 Mazda 626 DX. This mid-size sedan is the Mazda competitor to the Camry or Accord. This 626 has the DOHC 16 valve 4 cylinder engine and automatic transmission. The four cylinder engine runs well. The same cannot be said for the automatic transmission. The transmission or differential makes a loud clacking noise under load. It will move under it's own power, I've had it up to 40 mph. I would strongly suggest not driving it in it's current state. This car is being sold AS-IS. Since I cannot drive it in it's current condition, there may be other issues that I am unaware of. The black paint on this 626 is in mediocre shape. There is fading and clearcoat damage especially on the bumpers. This car has the scratches and bruises typical of a city car. This car has a matching set of 4 factory hub caps. The interior of this car is tan leather. The leather seats are in good condition. The passenger seat has a hole in the center panel and there is the usual wear on the driver's seat bolster. The speaker grille on the driver's side door is cracked. The carpets are in good condition The headliner is in excellent condition. This Mazda has optional power windows which all work as they should. The power locks work as well. The heater and fan controls work at all temperatures and speeds in all positions. The A/C works but is a little weak, it probably needs to be recharged. The Mazda factory AM/FM cassette stereo has good sound quality.
