Vehicle Detail
You are looking at my '76 Ford Bronco with desirable pickup cab and Ranger package, 3sp manual trans, power steering with quicker turning ratio, power disk brakes and 5 aluminum OEM style wheels with 5 new BFGoodrich tires. I have spent a ton of money on this Bronco with the intent of completely restoring this original survivor from the ground up. Now that I'm to the point to start restoring the body, I've simply lost the heart . I bought this Bronco in 2010 on ebay from the devil himself. The description he wrote was indeed beautiful as he raved about how good this Bronco ran with the 4 barrel engine. As you might imagine, I was more than disappointed when it wouldn't even run off the transporter. The transport driver even felt sorry for me as he told how the owner struggled to get it on the truck to begin with. An $11,000.00 Bronco it wasn't. Ebay motors explained to me that the vehicle protection doesn't cover any vehicles over 20 years old. Huh? When I tried further to get Ebay to help me with the Buyer protection plan they essentially told me to go jump off a cliff. Lessen learned: the seller was a dirt-bag and ebay isn't much better. So I am determined to not do this to someone else. I'm prepared to lose the money because I trusted an untrustworthy individual. Shame on me that time. Currently, the cab leaks at the factory seams. I planned on having the top soda blasted and repainted but thought better of it because the new owner should have the opportunity to paint the top in whatever scheme they so desire. The Center Force clutch turned out to be a bad choice for this rig because with the lighter weight of the pickup cab resulted in clutch chatter. Instead of replacing the clutch setup I planned on switching the Bronco over to an automatic (a friend of mine has one for sale for $350 if anyone is interested). The engine has a ton of hp and torque, but definitely enjoys higher octane fuel. I race on the side so I always add alittle 107 racing fuel just because it makes the beast happier. There is no doubt I over built the engine, but I truly intended on keeping this Bronco in that I am not a dealer in any way, form or fashion. In all honesty, this survivor really needs a total restoration. I drive it daily and get a tremendous response from people that see it. It does have some rust in the normal areas so it's time for someone else to take over from my huge loss and make this baby into what it needs to be. I expect a $500 deposit by wire, paypal or certified check within 5 days of end of the auction and the remaining balance within 10 days and certainly before the vehicle leaves my place. Buyer is responsible for transportation. Some people have been asking, the A/C system is all there but not charged. After replacing the engine, I simply didn't get around to charging the A/C unit to see if it worked. Bronco is "sold as is". I've attempted to give an honest account of the condition of my Bronco, but remember it's 36 years old. If you are a "listing" service or some sort of selling assistant please do not contact me. The following is a partial list of what I've spent and purchased for this Bronco knowing full well I'm never going to see that money again. If I can answer any questions, text or call David at (479) 216-2138 or email me at dr.dpeppers@yahoo.com. Good luck bidding!
