Vehicle Detail
International Scout 80 -1964 About three years ago I started this project and have not been able to get the time to complete it. Now I have to move and need some cash. So, it must go. The pictures will show the disassembled state of the truck and then they show that I have put the fenders, hood, doors and top back on for this sale. I had all the panels and doors off and headed for the sand blaster. That’s how far I got. This is an Arizona truck with virtually NO RUST (with the exception of a small spot/hole at the base of the driver’s door near the front fender, and the easy-to-sand off ‘surface rust’). See the pictures for details. Absolutely clean, dry truck. Rockers are solid, no rust in the fenders, no rust at the fuel tanks, no rust in the bed (sides or rear). You will be amazed at how clean this truck is. I bought it near Phoenix and it has been in my shop here in Colorado Springs since. This Scout has been restored from the front bumper back to the firewall. That’s as far as I got – and now I must sell it. As you can see in the pictures, the engine compartment, engine, heater, frame rails, etc. are all cleaned and painted like new. The truck runs and drives good. Engine/Trans: 152 Four Cylinder with 3 speed, twin-stick transfer case (high and low range) POWR-LOK rear axle Engine and transmission totally cleaned and painted 4-Wheel Drive Works great International Decal on the Valve cover New Plugs, Plug Wires, Points, Rotor and Cap New gaskets and seals (No oil leaks or drips) New-style Oil Filter installed New electric fuel pump installed (manual is covered) Starts right up, runs good New Tires New Battery (Jan 2012) New Battery Cables Rebuilt Carburetor Oil Pressure line installed (needs to be mated to a gage) New U-Joints Drive lines cleaned and painted Brakes work with no leaks Interior pedal set was cleaned and painted, as well as the steering column Door hinges drilled out and re-tapped, new screws Unique/very Rare single carb air cleaner, stock for this Holley carb Radiator does not leak, although in the area of the heater core there is a small leak since I put it all back together. Haven’t chased it down. Could be a hose, could be the core. New coolant in the radiator. New radiator hoses and new thermostat New Exhaust gasket New fan belt New Alternator Body is straight with minimal body work required. Left rear quarter panel is the worse and as you can see in the pictures, not to far from straight. Minor body work needed on left front fender as well. Fuel tank areas have no rust. Removed one fuel tank due to ‘stuff’ in the tank and lines. Right side tank works fine. Selector works fine. I have a bazillion pictures. Please ask if you would like to see more. Other details Fold down windshield New tail light lenses (and the turn signals work too) Seats are in good shape. Rear seat has two smaller tears. Front seats are good. Someone in the past added storage spaces to the rear interior fender wells behind the rear wheels and into the rear wheel wells. Actually did a great job. I was planning to leave them. All the glass is good Windows roll up and down, wing windows open and close (not sliders) Firewall has had holes cut to access transfer case and transmission bolts. Convenient, but not stock. Scout emblems included Comes with all the hardware that came off of it and then some Extra Parts include 152 Engine (non-running, but plenty of good parts) Three speed transmission and transfer case (works fine) Another IH Tailgate (the original with only “IH” on the gate) in near perfect condition Stock AM Radio Roof Rack Etc….. Needed All the body rubber seals, including those between fender and mounting flanges New exhaust Bleed the clutch. I did as well as I could alone. You need two folks to get it completed. Front Bumper. The one it has is bent. Fuel tank filler spout(s) (at least one on the tank that has been removed for cleaning Longer speedo cable (have one that is too short) Twin-Stick shifter boot Good title. Please only bid if you intend to buy. If you have questions, please ask before bidding. Reserve is set low and I intend to sell it. This truck is sitting Colorado Springs, 80918 Of course, this is as-is where-is with no warranty
