Vehicle Detail

Do not let the photos fool you, this 930 will require a complete repaint along with other restoration work to be in good show condition. Please read my description and check the pictures carefully. I would like my 100% positive feed back to remain that way. Since the service records start at 91000 miles in 1994 it has been serviced at "Autobahn service " by the same owner. It was poorly repainted prior to 1994 in the original color ( Porsche color code # 700 ) which is black and came with black leather sport seats . The car shows no heavy damage however there is evidence of metal work and body filler on the left side fender lips and possibly the door, The underside, as shown in the photos, shows no evidence of any use in the salty weather or impact and is in good condition as should the rest of the metal on the car also be in unrusted condition. Recent work includes over $5000 in receipts for major suspension and brake service along with 4 wheel alignment corner weight balance. As a result it drives tight and stops nicely. The motor runs smooth and does not smoke when started or driven and does not have blow by and has been kept up as stock with all of the engine controls ( see photos ) not disconnected like most early turbos I have seen listed. There are no records of a rebuild however it still runs and boosts up nicely. Clutch is good along with the transmission that still shifts nicely and there are no unusual noises or vibrations when driving. Other than the drivers seat needing new leather the rest of the interior is in reasonably good condition ( see photos ) with mostly original carpet, given its age and mileage. So bottom line, it still has some miles left in it as when I drove it last and looks good on the road. The previous owner primarily used it for summer trips ( some over 500 miles ) and kept it in good driving condition however the general cosmetics leave something to be desired. In my opinion it is a good candidate for a future restoration that runs and drives good now with the electrical items also kept in good working condition. Included with the car are the before mentioned service records, the original radio, steering wheel and tail lights are included along with the early R groupe tail lights that are on it now, and the later turbo wheels, as pictured. I will list it for 10 days to give you time to inspect it and ask any questions to address any of your concerns however once the bidding starts ( no reserve ) the high bidder owns it so ask any questions or resolve any issues you might have before bidding. This car is not for the feint of heart, so unless you have the ability/desire to keep up with an old high mileage Porsche, it might not be for you, however it is currently in well maintained driving condition with service performed by a good Porsche shop. On the plus side, these early models will most likely be a sound investment of expense and effort as they are really nice light weight turbos with that vintage look and feel when on the road. This car is sold as is, where is, with no guarantee of any kind and you should rely on the description above as I have described it, as I see it and as I have driven it, however it is to be sold as a wholesale purchase. A prior to bidding personal inspection is always best for you to be sure it is as you expect it to be. Shipping expense as well as any inspection expense are the responsibility of the bidders / buyer. Also I have a set of near new non original sport seats that I would exchange ( your choice ) for the worn original seats that are in the photos.
