This 900 is powered by the 2.3L 4cyl engine and 5-speed manual transmission. The 2.3L engine is a DOHC, 16valve rated at 150hp. The engine in this 900 runs smoothly and efficiently. On my test driving, it averaged 31mpg in mostly highway driving. The transmission shifts easily and the clutch is strong. The brakes stop straight and strong. The suspension is solid and responds well to spirited driving. It does not shake, pull, or rattle. This Saab is painted silver. The paint is in average condition for the age and mileage. It has the expected small blemishes. There are some drips of white on the car that you can see in the pictures. They come off with some scrubbing. I think they may just be dried on bird droppings, but I did not have enought time to scrub them all off for the pictures. There is a dent on the hatchlid (see pics) and some dings on the roof (see pics). The matching set of alloy wheels are in good condition and they are wrapped in Yokahoma Avid sporty radial tires with deep tread. The interior of this 900 is tan cloth. The seats are in above average condition. There are no holes or tears nor obvious stains on any of the seats. The carpets are likewise in above average shape. The headliner is a bit loose in the back, but is not torn up. This Saab has power windows and a power sunroof, all open and close easily. The power mirrors work as they should. The climate control has missing knobs, so it is difficult to move between warm and cold or change vent positions. The fan works at all speeds and the air conditioning blows cold. The factory Saab stereo powers on, but is in lock mode. The power locks, with keyless entry, work. The battery in the remote is weak. This Saab 900 is a fun little car. I enjoyed driving it. It is effortless on the highway and has enough sporty-ness to be fun around town.
