For your collection of fine German autos, you could be the third owner of this 911T (touring) Series C Karmann Coupe. She's in good condition with minimal blemishes, for being forty two years old, and would make you a fine daily driver. I would say it's 80% restored with a three year old paint job, Mercedes Desert Sand, and replaced rockers. I'm selling this for my dad's friend, who is in a wheelchair. He's had the car in storage for 20 years and has never had the pleasure of driving this classic. He shipped it to my dad and I to go over the mechanical systems of the car. So here is what we know and have repaired. The fuel pump needed replaced, some of the rubber lines, and filter too. We adjusted the valves, new gaskets, and set the timing. Dad, who was trained by and worked for VW in the 60's, synchronized the triple barrel Zenith carbs atop the 2.2 liter (2195 cc) flat 6 cylinder. It runs and sounds good, it smokes alittle but compression is good, seems to be less smoke the more we let it run. The numbers on the engine match the numbers in the maintenance record book. New gel cell battery (no fumes, or spills) was installed. The original owner picked it up on October 12 1970 from Valley Porsche in Spokane Washington, and had most of the scheduled maintenance done there. It was transferred to his daughter around 1980. It has lots of records and receipts. Has original Porsche bra, tool kit, owners manual, AM radio.
