The Volvo 850 enjoys a reputation as one of the most reliable vehicles produced. The problem is finding a nice one with low miles. For your consideration today is a sedan with only 81k original miles. I would rate the exterior condition of this Volvo to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age of the car. The dark green finish has a mile deep shine and looks great from any angle. There are a few small scratches on the bumpers from normal use as one would expect to find on any used car. Please review the photos closely to see how clean this Volvo is. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The rails on the roof have some minor flaking of the black coating which is also normal for an older Volvo. I'm being really, really picky now. The tires show average tread all around. The climate control system appears to be working properly and offers dual settings for the driver and passenger. The power windows, locks and mirrors all work properly. The trunk is clean, spacious and comes complete with an emergency kit. Mechanically, this Volvo appears to be in good running condition. The 2.4L inline five cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I did not see any leaks. During my time driving this car, it has shown excellent road manners. The suspension is nice and tight like it should be. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes do an excellent job at stopping this car. She drives down the road nice and strait. Highway cruising is a breeze. What really makes this car unique is the manual transmission which is not very common. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter.
