Vehicle Detail
A beautiful, classic Ford Mustang convertible with all the right options. 289-2V V-8 engine, C-4 automatic transmission, power steering, power front disc brakes, power top, air conditioning (unlike everyone else THIS A/C WORKS AND BLOWS COLD!) Everything works as it should, car starts right up and has plenty of power. No engine noises or smoke. Transmission shifts smoothly though all three forward gears as well as reverse. Front brakes were converted to power disc and are a vast safety improvement over the stock drum brakes. Turn signals, brake lights, headlights all are in working order. Car drives great and is the perfect cruiser. This was a western car before coming to Florida and the floor pans, trunk, frame rails, inner and outer rockers and cowl are are rock solid and original to the car. It appears all sheet metal including doors, hood, trunk, aprons, fenders and quarters are original to the car. Never in a wreck the body alignment is very nice and clean. This car was restored here in SW Florida in 2006 and they really performed a detailed job. However, in the last two years some minor bubbling has appear in the lower quarter, front fender and lower door. I believe they had not formed at the time of its restoration and now have started to form. The areas referred to can be seen in the pictures. Car was painted in base coat/clear coat and the color was changed (originally a dark blue) and in one area of a fender the clear coat has lifted. It is very hard to see until you get about two feet away. The Mustang needs some attention to detail from not being used much in the last five years (drivers seat stitching in one corner, some of the chrome needs to be polished, etc.) The car is located in SW Florida and I strongly urge any potential buyer to come see the vehicle, or to at least have it independently inspected.
