Reply to: your anonymous craigslist address will appear here Here is a truly amazing and spectacular collector car! I am selling my ORIGINAL STOCK "SURVIVOR" Pontiac Firebird 350 sport coupe with ONLY 19,000 ORIGINAL MILES! This is NOT a misprint! That is NOT 19,000 miles on a restoration, but 19,000 miles since new in 1969! Car was owned by original family most of its life, then in the hands of a collector with a large private museum of original low mileage survivor type cars, then sold to me. This special Pontiac features the following: 1. Firebird "350" series option. 2. Power steering and power drum brakes. 3. COLD factory AC (amazingly, still working on original R-12 refrigerant). 4. Deluxe interior package 5. Turbo-350 automatic 3 speed transmission 6. Bucket seats and console. 7. Power antenna (still works fine). 8. 14 x 7 Rallye II wheels with beauty bands. The car has been PHS documented. I have the build sheet/ shipping manifest, option list, window sticker, original book etc. I also have notarized statements as to the mileage being original. Really though, if you know old cars, one look convinces a person of the mileage! Interior is immaculate! It still smells new! No cracks or tears in seats, dash, door panels, arm rests, steering wheel or package tray. Original carpet is still immaculate! Console, gauges, etc all look fresh and bright. Seats are firm, and upholstery is not worn. Pedal pads are not worn. Body is super straight! All original body panels. No patch panels, or replacement panels. Same with floors and trunk. Everything fits nice and tight. Paint is bright and shiny, not faded out. Chrome and stainless trim are bright, not faded or pitted. Endura nose also looks great. Glass is also super nice with no acid rain, spotting, or delamination. No rust holes or perforation. Under hood is all nice un-restored original. Mechanically, car is as you would expect. The 350 engine starts quickly, runs on fast idle, then comes back down like it should. No leaking or smoking. Transmission and running gear are smooth and tight. Car handles, runs, and drives very tightly and smoothly. Very strong at all speeds. I drove it on a 500 mile trip about 6 weeks ago and had no issues at all, plus got about 20 MPG on regular pump gas! I have also been driving locally quite a bit on nice days. I am not aware of any mechanical issues with this car. There are only a few deviations I see from being original as it left the factory: 1. Original F-70 tires were badly dry-rotted and replaced with 70 series radial raised white letter tires (ride and handle great!). 2. About 30 years ago, owner replaced original 2 barrel intake manifold with 4 barrel manifold and Rochester Quadra-Jet 4bbl carb. All this was done correctly and makes engine look like H/O 4bbl model, but XB code on block shows that this is actually a 2bbl car. No attempt to fake or defraud here; original family readily shared this information. 3. Original AM radio stopped working, and in-dash AM/FM/Cassette was installed. Existing GM front and rear speakers were used, so no ugly speakers were cut into doors or rear door panels. Other than that, from what I can see, she is all stock and original "Survivor"! Just remember, if someone GAVE you a "project car" for FREE, you could not turn it into the caliber of this car for the money you can buy this one for! Survivor cars are the up and coming thing in the classic car hobby. Anyone can restore a derelict, but they are only new and original once! In my opinion, this car is a real time capsule! If you had a time machine that could transport you back to late 1970 or early 1971, this is what you would have seen on the front line of the late-model used car inventory at your Pontiac dealer's lot! Don't miss this unbelievable car! Please call me at 704-661-1326 (leave message if not in) with any questions about this car. About me: I collect and fool with nice un-restored vintage "survvor" cars from the late 1950s to the early 1980s. My name is Kenneth C. Jackson. I keep a "rotating collection" of about 6 cars. I will sometimes sell a car out of the collection to make way for a new arrival. This is one of those cars. I also somtimes will offer a nice inexpensive regular used auto for sale. I have been at the same location for nearly 25 years, and have been an old car hobbyist for over 35 years! Again, please call me at 704-661-1326 with any questions. I am just north of Charlotte, North Carolina. Now for the rules: 1. Your bid is a contract! If you are the successful bidder, you are expected to pay! Please have all contingencies handled and your money in place BEFORE you bid! 2. A NON-REFUNDABLE $2500 partial payment is due within 48 hours of auction's conclusion. This can be by bank wire transfer aor cashiers check. Pay Pal is NOT acceptable for this. 3. Balance is due within 7 days of auction's close. This can be by bank wire transfer, cashiers check or cash in person. If you are paying balance upon pickup of car, it must be cash in person. 4. Car and title will not leave here until paid in full with cleared funds. No exceptions! 5. Car is sold strictly as-is at my pemisies with no guarantee or warranty of any kind. 6. Transportation is the buyer's responsibility. I will try to reasonably help and accommodate you any way I can, but it still YOUR responsibility. 7. I understand with weather in some northern areas, you may not want to pick up car right away. That is fine, I will work with you to keep car here for a reasonable amount of time. However, car still must be paid for within the 7 days, and I am not responsible for acts of God or circumstances beyond my control. You should arrange insurance on the car while it is here as I cannot be responsible for this. 8. An administrative fee of $150.00 will be charged in addition to the bid price. This goes toward my advertising expenses, paperwork, temp tag, etc. It does not cover all of these expenses, but goes toward defraying some of them. 9. Car is advertised locally for sale. If I find a buyer through that venue, I reserve the right to end auction early. Please call me at 704-661-1326 with any further questions about this. I am sorry for all the rules, but it seems that 5% of difficult people spoil it for the 95% who are good. Thanks very much for looking! Again, please feel free to call 704-661-1326 with any questions. On Mar-28-12 at 13:30:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a lot of inquiries about this car. To answer a couple of the often asked questions: Yes, it is a southern car (sold originally in Georgia). Yes, it does have its original sheet metal (no patch panels welded in). Most importantly, it is really being sold at NO RESERVE! This is less than I was asking locally for it, but I feel this way people know it will sell to the highest bidder, unless of course a local buyer does something first. Again, please call me at 704-661-1326 if you have any questions about any of this. Thanks to all for the interest and the bids!
