I am offering a 1953 STUDEBAKER 1/2 TON PICK-UP TRUCK.The truck was sold new in Buena Park California and spent its life in Anaheim California until 2003.The truck has since spent the last nine years stored inside in West Virginia.The truck was repainted about nine years ago.The truck is very very solid and straight.There was no rust on the truck when it was repainted.The paint still looks good today except for some chips.The truck has recently underwent a freshen up mechanically with minor repairs including the brakes.The truck is powered by what is thought to be the original six cylinder motor with a standard transmission.The truck runs and drives good.A new set of tires and custom wheels have been installed giving the truck a super look.Other than the wheels the truck is stock.The truck is equiped with a factory radio and heater.All of the glass except for the passenger side front windshield is good.The windshield has a crack and dis-coloring (see picture).The window rubbers are all in decent condition.The interior does not have a headliner or floormat.The floors are exceptional (see pictures).The front seat appears to have the original factory covering but is in very bad condition (see picture).The steering wheel although original is missing the horn button and has some cracks.The identification tag reads MODEL 2R-C2 --------CAB-233897 ---------TRIM PAINT CODE T-6043 and BODY PAINT CODE P-2401.The speedometer reflects 109,000 miles.The truck fender-door and hood lines are excellent (see pictures)This is an unusual hard to find in any condition vintage Studebaker truck.This truck is exceptional do to the solid rust free body.The truck would make a super driver as is,restoration candidate or a fantastic street rod.The truck has a very very fair reserve.If you are looking for an unusual hard to find early 1950's truck that not everyone has donot miss this one.This is the first time the truck has publicly been offered for sale.On Mar-22-12 at 10:45:15 PDT, seller added the following information: ADDED MARCH 22--- THE TRUCK DOES NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL WHEELS OR HUBCAPS UNFORTANTLEY THEY WERE DISCARDED.I WILL INCLUDE A SET OF LARK HUBCAPS (they say studebaker on them) AND BEAUTY RINGS TO THE BUYER IF THE WANT THEM.
