Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is an uncommonly nice 1999 Ford Escort ZX2 Sport. I like the Escort ZX2 because they come with the great 2.0L DOHC Zetec engine. I would rate the exterion condition of this Escort to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. As you can see, this is a great looking vehicle. The brilliant silver finish has a deep shine and looks good from any angle. I'm sure there are some imperfections here and there if you look closely enough...but they would be hard to find. I have reason to believe that this vehicle was owned by a military person which may explain its uncommonly good condition. The sport alloy wheels look great and are wrapped in nice rubber all around. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. This Escort was traded in at a local Lincoln/Mercury dealership. Please take a look at all of the photos. I would rate the interior of this Escort to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition also. As you open the door to this car, it is hard to not be impressed with this car. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets are as new throughout the interior. The headliner is clean and tight. The ZX2 embroidered sport seats are in great condition and are very comfortable. The trunk is clean and spacious. In addition to being incredibly clean, this Escort is also very well optioned. This ZX2 comes with power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof...all working properly. The original owners manuals are included as well as a remote to the factory keyless entry system which is also still working properly. The stereo system is the original Ford Premium Sound with cassette up front and a CD changer in the trunk. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The air conditioning blows ICE COLD AIR. I've got nothing bad to say about this car. Mechanically, this Escort appears to be in good running condition. The 2.0L DOHC engine starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I did not see any leaks. I was very impressed with this Escort. It is very easy to drive and much quicker than I expected it to be. The suspension, steering and brakes all feel great. The engine makes good power, making this a very fun car to drive. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes are smooth through the manual transmission. Accelleration is easy.
