History and Notes We are the second owners of the Van. It was originally bought in Seattle and moved to the Midwest where it spent most of it’s life. We bought and moved it from the Midwest to Dallas Texas. We’ve owned it for 7 years and we are ready for another style of camping and travel. I invested the time and money in preparation for a summer long trip. We spent 10 weeks and drove 9000 miles around the US with no major issues. I also drove it back to Dallas from Boston after the Zetec conversion (1800 miles). I can not say enough good things about the Zetec conversion. The horse power goes from 85 to 130 (a 53% increase). It also is a modern day near bullet proof engine. That’s why Bostig has no problems giving a 100,000 warranty. The engine is really advanced; please take the time at their website www.bostig.com to get a sense of great this conversion is. They mostly use stainless steel on so NO rusting! You can fully monitor 8 pages of engine statistics in real time with the Scan Tool OBD-II interface. I did it all summer long during my trip. There is even a security key that totally disables the engine when this is removed. Stove, fridge and sink all work well. This has been such a labor of love. I do not cut corners when I build things for myself such as rerunning the hard brake lines using the best brake line material I could find. I will personally deliver the Van anywhere in the continental United States. Now for the not so good stuff. Exterior. The exterior had seam rust which I treated with Rust Bullet. There were and are no rust holes anywhere. I personally do not mind the look of the van because it’s so mechanically solid but you can see from the pictures it’s patch work. The paint it is still in great condition expect where it had rust. Mechanically. I know of nothing wrong with the van. Other: The speedo works but needs to be rebuilt. There are pin holes in the canvas top. The open and close cable for the heat needs to be adjusted. Overall, the van has lighter than normal wear and tear but it is a 27 year old vehicle and I make no warranties. Please feel free to email me at markk@ourwesty.com if you have any questions.
