The car has been in California since new and it is 100% rust free and original. The Volare had enough options to turn the car into just about anything that the driver wanted - luxury car, sporty car, family car, or cheap basic transportation. Motor Trend was so impressed, the Plymouth Volare was named "Car of the Year" for 1976. Apparently buyers were also impressed, as over 85,000 coupes were sold that year. Only 7,348 with the "Road Runner" package. The 318 c.i. engine starts right up and sounds healthy. It runs extremely well and accelerates positively. The transmission shifts right on time. The entire drive train is very solid. The brakes, steering and suspension are all in proper working order. All mechanical, electrical and climate control systems work properly. The air conditioning blows strong cold air. Cosmetically the car is entirely original inside and out. The body, chassis and frame are 100% rust free. All panel fit is excellent. The factory original coat of paint shines beautifully. There are minor imperfections (dings, nicks, chips, etc). No panels have been repaired or repainted. -All factory decals look outstanding for there age. -All of the chrome shines superbly . -The car comes with both of it's original "blue and yellow" license plates which verifies it's California heritage since new. -All lenses, lights, mirrors and trim are in great shape. -Small ding/dent below drivers rear window and below trunk lid. (see pic) The interior is in above average condition. There are no tears or on the upholstery. New correct loop carpeting. The door panels are clean and unworn. The dash has some cracks. The car has a factory manual sunroof. The interior plastic covers on the (a Pillar) are brittle and some small pieces have started to chip off. Gages and instrumentation are A+. This car is very unique with a minimal number left in existence. It is rare to find an example in such good original condition. The new owner will be pleased with the complete "package".
