This is a really clean fully optioned 1996 Mazda Miata M-edition. It was owned by my Grandpa for most of its life and was always garage kept and serviced regularly. The car itself has 158000 miles but prior to his passing last winter Grandpa had it completley overhauled including a newer low mileage engine, rebuilt tranny, and all four brakes/rotors. We still have most of the recipts as well as a professional inspection to prove it. Now for the bad part, about a month ago my brother came home on leave from the Navy, went hot-rodding in it, and ended up sliding into a curb. He broke the wheel,wheelbearing, and bent the end of the half-shaft. I replaced everything and had it aligned however the drivers side ABS sensor no longer works and I couldn't find Miata Rims so it now has steel rims on the rear. I drove it around like this for about 100 or so miles and it drove fine but now the pinion bearings in the rear are howling. I was quoted at 1200 dollars to replace the whole rearend, probably alot less is somebody wanted to do it themself, but at this point neither I nor my family have any use for a japanese sports car so we'd rather just see it go to someone who has a need for it. Reserve price is reflective of average bluebook value minus the cost of the rearend.
