Each vehicle is thoroughly road tested before being listed on eBay so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. I am not a mechanic but I strive to accurately represent every vehicle I sell to the best of my ability. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very clean 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport. This minivan is finished in a nice dark green over gray with spoked alloy wheels specific to the sport package. As you can see, this is a great looking van. I would rate the exterior condition of this van as AVERAGE for its age. If memory serves me, the sliding door does not unlatch from the outside. There are no major blemishes or damage. There are two spots on the hood where the clear coat is chipping and a few spots on the roof, also. The tires show good tread all around. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact, too. This is a good looking Caravan. I would rate the interior of this Grand Caravan to also be in AVERAGE condition. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well for the age of the van and do not show any signs of excessive wear. The seats are all clean and comfortable. This van has captains chairs in the middle row which is a very nice option. The stereo is the original system which sounds good. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The air conditioning does not blow cold anymore (it did a year ago so a recharge should be all it needs). This van is optioned with rear heat which is also working properly. This van is also equipped with power windows, locks, side glass and mirrors...all working properly. Additionally, this van is equipped with factory remote entry which worked when I first got the van but doesn't now. I suppose the battery died in the clicker... I prefer the Grand Caravan over the base for its longer wheelbase which allows more cargo room behind the rear seat. In the short vans, you have to choose cargo room or passenger room because you have virtually no room behind the rear seat. In a Grand Caravan, you can haul seven people and all their stuff. Mechanically, this van is basically in good shape. The miles are nice and low at just under 90k. The V6 engine starts easily and runs smoothly with no smoke. The suspension and steering are nice and tight. The brakes do a good job stopping this van. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly...does not slip. This van does do something wierd... When I purchased this van, it had absolutely no issues. One day, I noticed that the lights were on and the alarm was going off very quietly. Ever since then...it has had some sort of electrical issue. The running lights would not turn off...ever. I replaced the starter and that fixed the headlight issue. I have owned this van for almost a year. When I purchased it, she was absolutely perfect...it was actually supposed to be for my wife. I parked it in a low lying area of the parking lot at the auction and it was involved in a flash flood. The high water mark is at the middle of the gray portion of the exterior of the van (still visible) so it wasn't major at all. I started it and drove it right out of the water and strait home with no issues. Since then, none of the gauges work. This van still runs and drives perfectly...just without any gauges. I haven't looked into it at all. This van has been sitting around for the better part of a year and I am too busy to screw with it. No water got into the engine or transmission...and barely into the interior. I am anticipating moving to a larger shop as my business grows. I don't see any sense in dragging this one along. I haven't done anything with it in the last year so it's doubtful that I will get to it this year. Also, the interior hood latch is broken (need a pliers to pull the cord inside).
