Up for auction is this 1979 Pontiac Firebird Formula. It needs restoration. I will describe it in detail so please read the entire listing and look at all the pics. Mechanical: The engine is the 301 V8 and does run. The AC compressor is off and in the trunk. The car will not come with a battery.The transmission is a 350 turbo and shifts into all gears. The trans also has a B&M megashifter that may need to be adjusted. The rear brake line is leaking so the car is NOT driveable. Probably will need all new brakes and brake lines. The tires need replacing. Body: The body is very straight but does have surface rust in some areas. The only spot through on the body is the driver side lower quarter.The floor board have some rust through. The trunk has 1 small hole. The frame seems solid with only surface rust. (Please see all Pics) Interior: The interior is all there. The front seats are ripped. Door panels have been cut for speakers. Carpet is dirty. It really needs a whole interior. Overall the car is a good candidate for restoration because you can see what you are getting. It hasn't been half way restored by an amerature covering up problems. It appears to be very original. Please look at all pics and decide for yourself. Buyer must make $200 deposit to paypal within 24 hours of end of auction or I will relist. Balance due in cash at time of pick up. Buyer must pick up car within 10 days. CAR MUST BE TOWED. Due to the brakes, I will NOT let anyone drive this car home. I may be able to deliver within 100 miles for a fee.
