Up for a NO RESERVE auction toady is a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. The Grand Cherokee was an evolution of the popular Grand Wagoneer that lasted through 1991. I would rate the exterior condition of this Grand Cherokee to be in AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage of the vehicle. Although it is an older model, this is still a good looking Jeep. The dark green finish still has a decent shine. Please expect normal wear associated with a vehicle of this age and mileage. There is some minor rust on the left rear fender and on the front of the right rocker. Otherwise, the body is pretty clean. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in deep rubber all around. I would rate the interior of this Grand Cherokee Limited to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage of the truck. As you open the door, you are greeted by a cleaner interior than you'd expect to find. The door panels are all clean and tight. The bezel around the passenger front door handle is broken...but it's purely cosmetic. The carpets show well throughout the interior. All of the leather seats are in great shape and also show well. Both front seats are power operated. The power windows, locks, mirrors and seats work properly. The stereo system has been upgraded to an aftermarket CD player which I cannot get to power up. The climate control is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The air conditioner does not blow cold. The headliner is in pretty good condition for its age, too. Mechanically, this Jeep won't need too much. The optional 225hp/300tq 5.2L V8 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. During the time I've driven this Jeep, it has kept a steady engine temperature and great oil pressure. There have not been any warning lights on. The suspension, steering and brakes all feel great. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts great. Out on the highway, this Jeep cruises very well. Accelleration is effortless thanks to the big V8. ***HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO READ*** When I purchased this Jeep, I found out two things...both the hard way. I went out to ead with a friend one night. When we came out, my Jeep had rolled into his van (no biggie). That night, I parked it at my warehouse thinking nothing of it. The next morning, it was halfway across the parking lot. I brought it home and parked in nose down in a "ditch" so it wouldn't go anywhere. The next morning I found out the second thing...the 4WD was not working. I got underneath and saw that the front driveshaft was missing. After some research, I discovered that there was something about these early ones in the transfer case where they would slowly roll away if the front driveshaft on half shafts were broken or missing...simple enough (two problems/one fix). I put a driveshaft in the front of it and discovered the root of it all. It would seem as if this Jeep has some kind of issue with the 4WD system. It makes an audible clicking or popping sound at driving speed. I'm not sure if it's in the transfer case of the front differential. I would lean to the transfer case...but I've never had a Jeep do this before so my experience is limited. It turns well...and I know what a diff sounds like when it is going bad...which makes me think it's the transfer case. With the driveshaft out, it runs and drives great. You can drive it down the highway at 75 with no problems...you just can't park it on any type of hill, haha. Whatever is wrong with this unit could probably be fixed for less than $500. I don't get into fixing stuff. The parking brake is worn to the point of being useless...I'm guessing that's what the last owner did rather than fixing it correctly. Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Fees:
An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Buyer is responsible for their own taxes, tags, registration, or any other fee due to their State. 30 day transport tags (aka In Transit or temp tags) are available through PennDOT to out of state buyers for a fee.
This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->
