Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a very nice 1997 Mercury Moutaineer. This example comes as a fresh new car trade from a local dealership. I would rate this low mileage, one owner Mountaineer to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age of the vehicle. The only visible damage to this truck is on the rear bumper which is slightly bent and missing a reflector. The most noteworthy point to make about this Mountaineer is that there is absolutely NO RUST on the body of this truck that I could see. The Explorers and Mountaineers are notorious for rusting out at the rear of the rocker but this one looks great. There are some minor imperfections in the paint from age but nothing that take away from the great looks of this truck. The two tone black and gray exterior look great against the gray interior and black accents on the wheels. The factory alloys are in great condition and are wrapped in deep rubber all around. There is a brush guard up front which gives this truck a great look. The windows are tinted for rear passenger privacy. Please take the time to review each of the photos closely. I would rate the interior condition of this Mountaineer to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. As you open the drivers door you are greeted by a very well kept interior. The door panels are clean and tight throughout the interior. The carpets are uncommonly clean for their age and the leather seats show very well throughout. Both front seats are power operated. The power windows, locks, seats and mirrors all work properly. Pride in ownership shows throughout this vehicle. It comes with two keys and two remotes for the factory remote entry system as well as all books. The climate control system appears to be working properly and the air conditioning blows cold. The stereo is the original factory unit which sounds good. The interior tray to the center console is broken. The headliner is clean and tight. Mechanically, this Mountaineer appears to be in good running condition. The 5.0L V8 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. During my time driving this vehicle, the engine has kept proper temperature and great oil pressure. There were no warning lights on. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering feels great and the brakes do a great job. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. The AWD system appears to be working properly. Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Fees:
An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Buyer is responsible for their own taxes, tags, registration, or any other fee due to their State. 30 day transport tags (aka In Transit or temp tags) are available through PennDOT to out of state buyers for a fee.
