1960 Triumph Herald Coupe - Project This auction is for a 1960 Triumph Herald Coupe. This is a project car, but much of the hard work has been done. The bodywork has been completed on the tub and it has been painted. The chassis has been stripped, and new outriggers were fabricated for it. There are many new parts, including wheel bearings, ball joints tie rod ends, trunion bushings, differential seals, universal joints, clutch, NOS exhaust system, all hydraulic components have been rebuilt and the rear spring has been rebuilt. The wiring harness has been reconditioned with new terminals, some new wires (with correct color code), and a fuse panel has been added. The engine is in good condition and ran well before the car was taken apart. It would take very little to make it run again. The gas tank will need to be installed and a fuel line will need to be made up. The fluids need to be filled, the brakes and clutch need to be bled, and it will need a battery. There is some rot on the front fender arches that has been filled in with body filler and window screen, so that will need to be cut out and done right. The rot looks to be minor, and the majority of the nose appears to be in good condition. The roof is in good condition aside from a few dings. I have all good glass, most of the trim, rocker panels that will need some straightening, and two front valences. There is also a pair of decent bucket seats with good sliders. What is needed to finish the car is all the rubber seals, the upholstery, some of the chrome parts will need to be replated or replaced, and it will need tires. This is a no reserve auction and the car will go to the highest bidder. I am trying to relocate and cannot take the car with me, so my loss is your gain. Title: I do not have a title for this car, so it is being sold on a bill of sale only. Shipping: The car can be picked up at my location at 03266 (you will need a trailer). I can deliver the car for you to most points in the New England area for $0.75 a mile; contact me first to discuss this option. If you are using a third party shipper you will be responsible to make the arrangements. I will meet with your driver to hand the car over. The car must be removed within 10 days after the auction ends. Payment: A $100 non-refundable is due by PayPal within 24 hours of the end time of the auction.
