It is my pleasure to present this 2001 Saab 9-3 Viggen convertible for a NO RESERVE auction. The Saab Viggen is a performance version of the popular Saab 9-3 named after the famous Saab 37 Viggen jet. In true European understatement, the Viggen is not an easy car to spot. Other than a slightly more aggressive front and rear spoiler (and a small badge on each side), it is hard to tell from its more pedestrian siblings. Boasting 230hp and nearly 260lb/ft of torque, these cars are seriously quick...but it doesn't stop there. Ehnanced aerodynamics and suspension help keep the Viggen stable at its top speed of 155mph. Special deeply bolstered seats keep the passengers firmly planted, too. A heavier clutch and heavy duty axles put all that torque reliably down to the pavement. The Viggen saw a fairly short production which makes it a fairly rare car. In its entire production of five years, only 1,305 convertibles were ever made (only 1,152 were made in 2001 including 3 and 5 door versions). I would rate the exterior condition of this 2001 Saab 9-3 Viggen convertible to be in AVERAGE condition for its age and mileage. This is a gorgeous automobile. Please look at each of the photos closely. There is some fading on the rear spoiler and some clear coat flaking on the bumper...both are hard to notice. The body is free of noteworthy damage. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The alloy wheels look great and are wrapped in deep rubber all around. The top looks good and does not appear to leak. This car is clean, clean, clean. I would rate the interior of this Saab Viggen convertible to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age. The special Viggen specific leather seats are in good condition. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, mirrors, seats and convertible top all work as they should. The interior lining of the top looks great. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The stereo is the original factory Saab Premium sound with CD which sounds great. There are a few pixels out in the display which is normal. This Saab comes with two keys/remotes. The factory remote entry system is working properly, too. Mechanically, this Saab Viggen appears to be in good running condition. The turbocharged 2.3L starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I did not see any leaks. The suspension, brakes and steering all feel great. It sounds like the left front tire is a bit noisy but does not shake or wobble. The brakes have been upgraded to cross-drilled rotors all around and do an excellent job at stopping this car. The clutch engages well and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the manual transmission are nice and smooth. Highway cruising is nice and easy. I had it out with the top down when it was so nice last week and it drives great. Accelleration is...well...intense. Even though the computer limits the amount of power in first and second gears, it will still spin through first and second with minimal effort unless the traction control is on. Full power is available from third gear on...and man does this Saab fly. It is a challenge to keep it pointed strait in lower gears. Once you make it through first and second, put her in third and this rocket runs like a raped ape. Spool time is minimal and the power comes on smooth and strongly. The engine keeps a steady temperature and there were no warning lights on. These cars are very hard to find...especially with good miles. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. I buy vehicles traded in at larger dealerships in volume and resell them wholesale directly to the public. Each vehicle is accurately represented to the best of my ability. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. It is my pleasure to present this 2001 Saab 9-3 Viggen convertible for a NO RESERVE auction. The Saab Viggen is a performance version of the popular Saab 9-3 named after the famous Saab 37 Viggen jet. In true European understatement, the Viggen is not an easy car to spot. Other than a slightly more aggressive front and rear spoiler (and a small badge on each side), it is hard to tell from its more pedestrian siblings. Boasting 230hp and nearly 260lb/ft of torque, these cars are seriously quick...but it doesn't stop there. Ehnanced aerodynamics and suspension help keep the Viggen stable at its top speed of 155mph. Special deeply bolstered seats keep the passengers firmly planted, too. A heavier clutch and heavy duty axles put all that torque reliably down to the pavement. The Viggen saw a fairly short production which makes it a fairly rare car. In its entire production of five years, only 1,305 convertibles were ever made (only 1,152 were made in 2001 including 3 and 5 door versions).
I would rate the exterior condition of this 2001 Saab 9-3 Viggen convertible to be in AVERAGE condition for its age and mileage. This is a gorgeous automobile. Please look at each of the photos closely. There is some fading on the rear spoiler and some clear coat flaking on the bumper...both are hard to notice. The body is free of noteworthy damage. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The alloy wheels look great and are wrapped in deep rubber all around. The top looks good and does not appear to leak. This car is clean, clean, clean.
I would rate the interior of this Saab Viggen convertible to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age. The special Viggen specific leather seats are in good condition. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, mirrors, seats and convertible top all work as they should. The interior lining of the top looks great. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The stereo is the original factory Saab Premium sound with CD which sounds great. There are a few pixels out in the display which is normal. This Saab comes with two keys/remotes. The factory remote entry system is working properly, too.
Mechanically, this Saab Viggen appears to be in good running condition. The turbocharged 2.3L starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I did not see any leaks. The suspension, brakes and steering all feel great. It sounds like the left front tire is a bit noisy but does not shake or wobble. The brakes have been upgraded to cross-drilled rotors all around and do an excellent job at stopping this car. The clutch engages well and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the manual transmission are nice and smooth. Highway cruising is nice and easy. I had it out with the top down when it was so nice last week and it drives great. Accelleration is...well...intense. Even though the computer limits the amount of power in first and second gears, it will still spin through first and second with minimal effort unless the traction control is on. Full power is available from third gear on...and man does this Saab fly. It is a challenge to keep it pointed strait in lower gears. Once you make it through first and second, put her in third and this rocket runs like a raped ape. Spool time is minimal and the power comes on smooth and strongly. The engine keeps a steady temperature and there were no warning lights on. These cars are very hard to find...especially with good miles. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check (cashiers or personal), or money order will be subject to verification of funds by my bank. The vehicle and title will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and made available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance. This includes Bill Me Later.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auction's end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Fees:
An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Buyer is responsible for their own taxes, tags, registration, or any other fee due to their State. 30 day transport tags (aka In Transit or temp tags) are available through PennDOT to out of state buyers for a fee.
This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->
