Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a 1973 Triumph Trident motorcycle. I bought this Triumph around three years ago as a running project and I am selling it as a running project. My intention was to totaly strip down and rebuild to show quality. Well as you can see this did not happen. I rode it for a while then put it in my garage and this has where it has been since that time. I have a friend in town [JR] who talked me into getting it running so he could have something to ride for a few days. When I bought this motorcycle the previous owner had removed the baffles from the mufflers and it was LOUD,I think this is why I stoped riding it. Anyway I bought two new mufflers. We striped the brakes down front and rear cleaned and lubricated so they work freely. Removed the carbs, cleaned float chamber and jets. Installed new Float chamber and drain gaskets. The turn signals were missing so I replaced them with new. Battery would not hold charge so I bought a new one. Installed new fuel lines. This Triumph has ony done 7165 miles and it sounds awesome. It starts first or second kick every time. It has the five speed transmission and shifts perfectly. Please look at pictures closely to get an Idea of the condition. If you would like more pictures I would be happy to email them to you [please supply your email address]. As I said this motorcycle is a running project. It does need new tires, they are old and have crackes in side walls. The front forks work well but do have bad pitting on tubes. With these Items taken care of it would be a very usable motorcycle. The chrome in general has seen better days. It has pitting and surface rust. The frame and other black painted components are in good solid condition but have some surface rust. The gas tank has been painted at some time and it is good quality [not show] Having said all this it is 39 years old and with a little time and effort it could be a very attractive and desirable motorcycle. I purchased it from the the previous who lived in GA. They do not issue titles for vehicles over a cetain age, it falls into that age catergory. I do not have a title so it is sold with a bill of sale.It is a matching number motorcycle Frame number = VAH02469, Engine number = AH02469You can contact me by phone at 843-816-7754.This motorcycle is sold as is.
