For sale is a 1998 Toyota Tacoma 4x4. This truck has the 2.7L 4 cylinder motor with the 5-speed Transmission. The body is straight and clean. It has a Custom paint job as you can see in the pictures. It was painted 2 years ago and cost just below $5000 for the paint job, bed liner, and tool box. There is a paint chip on the hood. Otherwise, the rest of the paint is in excellent condition. The interior is in good condition but the carpet could use a cleaning. This truck is 100% rust free and has never been in an accident. The A/C blows ice cold and the heater works great! The motor runs excellent, very smooth, does not leak or burn fluids. Approx. 3 years ago it was losing water so it needed a new head gasket. It did not overheat, we just noticed over a few weeks time it would require the antifreeze to be topped off a noticeable amount. At that time the Head was rebuilt along with new timing chain and components and new water pump. The work was done with anticipation of a long trip and we got a good deal on a clutch even though it was not needed. It was replaced along with a full tune up on the motor. The Transmission shifts smooth in all gears and the clutch feels great. The 4x4 Works excellent. It has Manual Locking hubs. The suspension is great, it's a comfortable ride on or off-road. The tires are in great shape and have about 70% tread left and the brakes are good. It has been well maintained with regular fluid changes. It drives straight and smooth. Below is a video to show it can easily get up and go. I don't drive it hard. I made the video above to show that the truck has the power. This truck is reliable and ready to drive anywhere. It has already been all over the United Stated and are mostly highway miles from traveling a lot for work. The only issue with the truck is it has a minor exhaust leak towards the middle of the truck. It just passed California Smog inspection on 2/25/12 so the smog is already done for California buyers.
