Vehicle Detail

This Jeep is 100% factory original. AMC 304 V-8, 3 speed manual with manual transfer case and manual locking hubs, manual steering. No air conditioning. Heater has beenbypassed because the core leaks. Engine smokes a lot when it warms up and has very little power. Two adjacent plugs foul out with oil. It has enough power to drive it around in the yard and load it onto a trailer. The right rear axle seal has a very slight leak and oil will eventually get on the right rear brake shoe. There is a slight dent in the right rear corner of the lower body. You can see it in the pictures. The Jeep had no engine problems until it was allowed to set idle for months at a time. Windshield wiper inserts are needed. There may be a loose cab mount bushing at the right front. I can't tell but there is occasionally vibration in this area. The fresh air damper knob has pulled loose on the shaft. I believe that every thing else is OK. All the parts are there and none of them are broken. The tires are good. The odometer wasn't working when I bought the Jeep in 1987 so the actual miles are unknown. The Jeep has been stored under cover ever since I have owned it. You can not drive the Jeep home but you can tow it or haul it. I will assist as necessary. I have a tow bar that fits the Jeep that I will sell for $40.00 if you want it. I have used it before myself. I'm not aware of a rust problem with the Jeep though I doubt it's rust free. I always primed any bare metal that I saw but there is a lot that I can't see. I kept it under cover for the last 25 years. Before that it was probably outside a lot. I looked it over and I didn't see any rust. A few thousand miles back the transmission synchros and some of the gears were replaced. The transmission has not shown signs of any problem at all since. The carbureator was recently rebuilt by a professional.
