I am selling my 1971 VW Beetle because I am 82 years old and have Parkinson's and it hurts my leg to drive a manual transmission. The car is mechanically sound and we regret having to sell it. We have recently installed a new exhaust system and had the carberator rebuilt. It is a very dependable car with excellent gas mileage; You could drive this car any where. It has it's original paint and new door panels and sun visors. I have owned this car for about a year my intentions were to save money on gas but I just can't drive it. My loss is your gain!!! I just received brand new tags for 2013.!!! Saving you $93.00 dollars to begin with!!!! And at roughly 30 miles to the gallon you'll save even more!!! I bought this car because of its extremely unused condition. The speedometer says it has 75,000 and although I wouldn't contest it to say it has 175,000 because I know these are really long lasting cars but it has feels like it only has 75, 000 miles like speedometer says; It's a tight well made car. Every time someone asked me what year it is I'm reminded that this car is 41 years old and almost as good as new. I'm sure you'll have many more years of service. It has a few nicks but never been in an accident, It needs a radio and some tires in the not to distant future but other then that it's really nice Bug.
