I purchased this vehicle from an older gentleman who quit driving it in 1989 due to vision loss so the car just sat in his garage for years. He purchased it from original owner in 1979 so the car is a two owner, i have title in hand with the owners signature, i did not title car to my name and have had the car for about two weeks. I bought the car because i could not pass it up, the car is all original no body work,bondo or motor swap this car is all there with all trims emblems and chrome in place. The only addition to the car is in the 70s the owner added a cb radio and big goofy antenna probably the first thing you will get rid of. I have all the documents including orginal warranties and guarantees from cadillac, registration papers for every year till 1989 when the car was not driven anymore. This car is exactly what i look for original with documentation, has not been chopped up or pieced together. I drove car to my house changed the oil and cleaned up the years of dust to take pics, car will come with everything i found inside the car as well, papers antique aviator glasses ect. I also have pics of where i found car and gentleman who sold me the car if you are interested. As far as the Caddilac Mechanically the car starts right up on first try transmission shifts great, the car drives just like it should, very quiet and powerful, the wheel can be turned with one finger, and the suspension feels great all around. If you have ever driven a cadillac you understand the ride quality is great. The Glass is all complete no cracks, power windows function,as does all electrical components such as lights, turn signals, speedometer, even the cb radio works. 'The front seats are complete but some seams have split, besides that the rest of the interior looks brand new, the carpet is excellent with no stains, the dash has no cracks and shines as if it were new, door panels and headiner also excellent and rear seats look brand new. The body is complete with all trims and emblems, never been hit all parts original, the worst body damage is in the front lower part of the fenders common for these cadillacs. Look at pics you can see the paint not mint but still looks good for being original enamel paint.And the top is worn also but complete. The car has no rust under floorboards or on gas tank, the trunks still has original jack spare tire and carpet. I pulled carpet back and trunkpan has no rust still in original black paint, doors do not sag open and close with ease as does trunk. What i see here is you could detail clean, buff out paint and have an excellent running cruiser, Or repair the lower front fenders and paint and have a show car quality ride. My reserve is what i paid for it and am confident it will sell well. Had to put inside my garage due to people ringing my doorbell asking about it.
