FOR SALE IS A REAL 1969 PLYMOUTH ROADRUNNER RM23 HARDTOP IN VERY GOOD RESTORABLE CONDITION. I HAVE TOO MANY PROJECTS, & THIS ONE HAS TO GO. IT HAS A VIN MATCHING ENGINE, ALONG WITH THE ORIGINAL FENDER TAG & THE NUMBERS MATCHING RADIATOR SUPPORT. PLEASE READ THE RATHER LENGTHY DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY. I'VE TRIED TO BE VERY ACURATE. PLEASE NOTE::: TERMS OF SALE ARE A $500.00 PAYPAL DEPOSIT WITHIN 24 HOURS OF AUCTION ENDING, WITH THE BALANCE TO BE PAID BY BANK WIRE TRANSFER OR CASH WITHIN 7 CALENDAR DAYS. -----IF YOU COME TO PICK UP THE CAR WITHIN 7 DAYS OF THE AUCTION ENDING, & ARE AT ALL UNHAPPY WITH IT, I WILL GIVE A FULL REFUND, INCLUDING DEPOSIT!! PLEASE CHECK MY FEEDBACK & BID WITH CONFIDENCE. THIS CAR HAS A CLEAR OKLAHOMA TITLE, & WILL BE QUITE AN EASY PROJECT. THE EXTERIOR COLOR IS R6 SCORCH RED, WITH NO VINYL TOP. THE INTERIOR WAS (& IS) BLACK. CAR ORIGINALY HAD A BENCH SEAT, COLUMN AUTOMATIC. IT NOW HAS A B&M FLOOR SHIFTER, & BUCKET SEATS FROM A 1969 CHARGER. THE ENGINE HAS BEEN TAKEN OUT & REWORKED AT SOME POINT IN ITS LIFE, BUT THE ORIGINAL FACTORY VIN STAMPING IN THE PAN RAIL TO VERIFY NUMBERS MATCHING IS VERY CLEAR.I HAVE NOT CHECKED THE TRANSMISSION PAN FOR VIN NUMBERS, BUT WILL DO SO IF THAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU. THE REAR END IS AN 8 3/4 SURE GRIP (POSI). CAR HAS MANUAL DRUM BRAKES, POWER STEERING & NO A/C. ONE OF THE HOOD INSERTS IS MISSING IN THE PHOTOS, BUT I HAVE IT.. EXTERIOR: THE WINDOWS ARE NON-TINTED. THE WINDSHIELD, REAR GLASS & SIDE WINDOWS ARE ALL QUITE NICE, BUT DO SHOW SOME LIGHT MARKS FROM USE OVER THE YEARS, THEY ARE ALL GOOD FOR VERY NICE DRIVER STATUS. THE FRONT & REAR WINDOW STAINLESS TRIM PIECES ARE EXCELLENT. GRILLE IS STRAIGHT, BUT APPEARS TO BE EVENLY LIGHTLY PITTED. THE TAIL LIGHT BEZELS ARE VERY NICE, NOT SHOW BUT VERY NICE FOR A DRIVER. ROOF IS STRAIGHT W/O DENTS, DOOR , TRUNK, HOOD & FENDER GAPS ARE VERY EVEN. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO RUST ON THE ROCKERS, FRAME RAILS, DOORS, QUARTERS, HOOD OR TRUNK. TRUNK FLOOR EXTENSIONS ARE VERY NICE, WITHOUT RUST. THERE IS NOT EVEN A HINT OF FOLD OUT FROM UNDERNEATH RUST ON THE ROLLED PINCH WELDS ON ANY OF THESE PANELS. THE DOOR VIN STICKER IS MISSING. CAR HAS HAD AN OLDER REPAINT WITH A LITTLE "ORANGIER" RED THAN ORIGINAL, BUT CLEARLY THE EXTERIOR IS VIRTUALLY RUST FREE. THE ONLY EXTERIOR RUST ON THE ENTIRE CAR IS VERY MINOR-- IN THE LOWER POCKET OF 1 FENDER, IT SHOULD SHOW IN THE PHOTOS.. CAR APPEARS TO HAVE ORIGINALLY HAD A BLCK OUT HOOD, & HAD FACTORY ROCKER MOLDINGS. I HAVE ONLY 1 OF THOSE, & IT IS SOMEWHAT BENT. THE INNER FENDERS ARE PERFECT & RUST FREE. THE INTERIOR FLOORBOARDS ARE PERFECT & RUST FREE. THIS CAR SAT WITH A CARPET IN THE TRUNK & THE TRUNK LID OPEN FOR YEARS, SO THERE IS SOME RUST IN THE TRUNK FLOOR. YOU HAVE 2 OPTIONS WITH THIS--USE A SMALL SECTION OF A GOOD OR REPRO TRUNK FLOOR, OR USE POR 15 ON THIS AREA. THERE ARE SOME DENTS AT VARIOUS PLACES ON THE BODY. THE BUMPERS ARE SLIGHTLY BENT, BUT WOULD STRAIGHTEN VERY EASILY, & SHOW ONLY THE LIGHTEST BIT OF SPOTTY SURFACE RUST ON THE BACK SIDES. THE RIGHT QUARTER PANEL APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN REPLACED YEARS AGO WITH AN ORIGINAL RUST FREE ONE, IT WAS SECTIONED ALONG THE UPPER EDGE ABOUT 1-2" BELOW THE UPPER BODY LINE JUST ABOVE THE CREASED FEATURE LINE OF THE QUARTER. THE JOB WAS DONE NICELY, & WOULD REQUIRE VERY LITTLE WORK TO MAKE IT SHOW QUALITY. FIT AT TRUNK IS UNAFFECTED SINCE IT WAS REPLACED JUST UP ON THE SIDE OF THE CAR. DOOR FIT IS PERFECT. UNDERHOOD: INNER FENDERS ARE PERFECT, AS IS THE RADIATOR SUPPORT. RADIATOR & FAN SHROUD APPEAR TO BE ORIGINAL. THERE IS NO HINT OF ANY RUST WHATSOEVER. NO SURPRISES OR DISAPPOINTMENTS. HORNS ARE MISSING. FRAME RAILS & FLOOR: NO RUST, NO DENTS, NO BENDS, NO DISTORTION, NO HACKING, CUTTING, OR ANYTHING AT ALL. (WITH THE SOLE EXCEPTION OF THE ADDITION OF THE B&M SHIFTER LINKAGE) TRUNK: PHOTOS SHOW IT BEST. TRUNK LID IS PERFECT. FLOOR AS DESCRIBED ABOVE GOT WET FROM OPEN TRUNK LID WHILE SITTING OUTSIDE. INTERIOR: MICE HAD A FIELD DAY IN THIS CAR, SO I REMOVED THE HEADLINER (IT HAD ALL OF THE BOWS IN PERFECT CONDITION) & CARPET. A PILLAR TRIM IS PERFECT. VISORS ARE JUST O.K. FRONT SEATS NEED NEW FOAM & TO BE RECOVERED. REAR SEAT NEEDS TO BE RECOVERED. CARPET IS GONE. DOOR & OTHER INTERIOR PANELS ARE WAVY, & SHOULD BE REPLACED. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IS STANDARD, IS IN DECENT SHAPE. DASH PAD IS BADLY CRACKED & DETERIORATED. LOWER PADDED DASH PARTS ARE EXCELLENT. STEERING WHEEL HAS MULTIPLE CRACKS. I HAVE ANOTHER STEERING COLUMN THAT HAS A GOOD SHIFT LEVER & LINKAGE. DRIVETRAIN: REAR END IS A SUREGRIP 8 3/4", I AM NOT SURE OF THE RATIO. TRANS IS A 727, I AM NOT SURE IF IT IS THE ORIGINAL. THE 383 MAGNUM MOTOR IS ORIGINAL, IT HAS HEADERS, AN EDELBROCK TORKER INTAKE & HOLLEY CARB. IT HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO ELECTRONIC IGNITION. ENGINE TURNS OVER READILY WHEN CRANKED, BUT THE GAS TANK & LINES HAVE TURNED TO A GOOEY SMELLY MESS SOMEWHERE BETWEEN PAINT THINNER & TURPENTINE SMELL. SPARK IS GOOD, & I'VE GOTTEN THE ENGINE TO SPUTTER, BUT HAVE NOT STARTED IT. IT WILL NEED TANK & LINES CLEANED THOROUGHLY, & A CARB KIT INSTALLED. I WAS TOLD IT RAN WHEN PARKED. CAR SOUNDS GOOD WHEN CRANKING, COMPRESION SOUNDED O.K. IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR A REAL B BODY MOPAR THAT WILL BE A HEAD TURNER & HAS INCREDIBLY NICE SHEET METAL THAN THIS MAY BE THE CAR FOR YOU. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PARTIAL TO THE NON VINYL TOP R6 RED ONES, BUT I AM WORKING 60-65 HOURS A WEEK FOR THE INDEFINITE FUTURE. I HAVE MANY OTHER MAJOR PROJECTS, & THIS ONE NEEDS A NEW HOME.
