The LS package was the top of the line for Isuzu's full size SUV and included many nice options. The Trooper is a full sized SUV designed to compete against Rovers and Land Cruisers. It shares the same sort of tall driving position, high ground clearance, and rugged suspension. This Trooper is powered by the higher power 3.2L DOHC V6, 5-speed manual transmission, and four wheel drive with auto locking hubs. The 5-speed manual transmission is uncommon with the LS package but it is a good option in my opinion. The automatic transmission is the only weak point in the Trooper drivetrain and removing that removes most of the potential problems. The engine is torque-y and provides loads of low RPM power which matches well with the transmission gearing. The suspension is designed to soak up big bumps and off road driving very well, which is does. This leads to a somewhat float-y feel on the highway. It could use an alignment, it pulls slightly to the right. The brakes stop strong. The LS package adds alloy wheels, chrome mirrors, and contrasting color body cladding to the exterior of the Trooper. The sandy colored cladding contrasts very nicely with the dark forest green paint and chrome accents. This SUV has probably seen a few off road trips. It has some dents and scratches. (see pics). The driver's door opens and closes properly. The tires have good tread, but the rears could use replacing. The set of 5 matching alloy wheels are in good condition. The interior of this Isuzu has a deep chocolaty brown color scheme. The velour seats are in very good condition for the age and use. There are is some damage to the driver's seat cover (see pics). The cushions are still in excellent shape. The carpet is in very good condition. The leather wrapped steering wheel has some wear and could benefit from a wheel cover. The headliner is in very good condition, it is not sagging at all. The LS package adds a lot of options to the Trooper. The chrome exterior mirrors are power and have a power folding feature that pulls them flat against the door. The truck is equipped with power windows. (The master window control is not working correctly. The driver's window works as it should, but the other windows only work intermittently). The truck has fog lamps, cruise control, intermittent wipers, and rear wiper & defroster The factory AM/FM stereo with slave CD (CD players are almost mandatory now, but it was a very rare option in a 94!) works, but has mediocre sound quality and the CD player does not work consistently. The a/c and heat work well. The a/c blows very cold. The fan works at all speeds and in all positions. This Isuzu Trooper has low miles, a rugged, reliable drivetrain, off-road grade four wheel drive & suspension, and a lot of niceties. It is one of the best cheap SUVs on eBay right now!
