Each vehicle is represented accurately to the best of my ability from its road test performance. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very desirable 1995 Mercedes Benz E420 sedan. The W124 chassis was a very innovative move for Mercedes Benz. It boasted top aerodynamics for its day and has since been regarded as one of the most reliable Mercedes available. It's body lines are unmistakably Mercedes Benz and denote a timeless elegance. The 400E and E420 are rather hard to find. I would rate the exterior of this E420 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. It is finished in charcoal/gray two tone with matching gray leather interior. The worst I can say about the exterior of this car is that the front lip spoiler is cracked...as most are by now. The charcoal paint has a deep shine that looks good from any angle. The cladding is tight. Please expect to find a few scratches and scuffs associated with age but no major damage. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The suspension has been upgraded which gives this sedan a very aggressive look to back up the 275hp V8 hiding under the hood. The tires are average all around and show even wear. The alloy wheels are also in average condition. I would rate the interior condition of this E420 to also be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age of the vehicle. As you open the door, you are greeted with a nicely appointed interior fitted with leather and wood everywhere. The drivers door card is a little loose in the front but not bad/noticable. The door panels are clean. The carpets show well throughout the interior. The headliner is clean. Once seated, you will find that this is a very well sized car. It is very roomy throughout but very easy to drive. The leather seats show very well and are comfortable. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The wood trim is in good condition, too. The power windows, seats, sunroof and central locks work properly. The sound system is the original Mercedes Benz premium sound. The radio will require the code to play...which you can get from any dealer with proper credentials. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The trunk is spacious and clean. I've owned several of these cars. They are hands down up with the best overall vehicles to own, in my opinion. They represent the best of Mercedes Benz...back when their vehicles were made to a standard, not a price point. Mechanically, this Mercedes appears to be in good running condition. The 275hp 4.2L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. You can hear a small hole in the exhaust but it's not loud. The engine does not smoke and I did not see any leaks. The brakes, steering and suspension all feel like they should. The suspension has been upgraded. It has a nice, aggressive look and handles great. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. During my time driving this vehicle, it has shown excellent road manners. It cruises nice and strait with no shakes or wobbles. I've had it up to about 90mph and she drives very well. The engine keeps great oil pressure and a nice engine temperature. I've put about 50 miles on it and haven't seen any warning lights. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgement solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle at the buyer's request prior to the close of sale. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check(cashiers or personal), money order will be subject to verification of fundss by my bank. The vehilce will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auctions end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Fees:
An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Buyer is responsible for their own taxes, tags and registration fees. 30 day transport tags are available through PennDOT to out of state buyers for $35.
This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->
