Up for auction is a 2000 Ford Ranger Supercab. Four Wheel Drive, 5 Speed Manual. This pick-up truck is in overall good condition and runs well! It is being sold as it is no longer needed. Its Flex Fuel motor is great, if you have access to Ethanol [E85 fuel], which in NYS is currently about $0.40 gallon cheaper! It takes regular gasoline too and operates slightly more efficiently on that, or any mix of regular gas and ethanol. It produces less fumes with ethanol and therefore lowers your carbon footprint, which is good for the environment and your wallet. The vehicle has not been used for trailering or snow plowing. Owner and family are all non-smokers. The Good! The vehicle completed NYS safety and emissions service <60days ago. Recently completed Ford Dealer service on fuel injection system, replacement of the belt tensioner bearings and new serpentine belt. Oil, filter and air filter changed last weekend. New battery, brakes, rotors and drums all around within the past year. Plenty of tread left on the Michelin tires, mounted on Ford alloy rims. Four wheel drive works great. No rust or rot. Vinyl flooring, instead of carpeting and it is all in good shape. Perfect for a work truck. Sliding rear window. Manual locks and roll-up windows. It's easy to switch between 2 wheel, 4 wheel high and 4 low with a knob turn on the dash near the steering column. Passive antitheft device, 2 computer chip keys. Frame has surface rust only. Service records available for review. The Issues. The paint as expected for a 12 year old vehicle has some scratches and blemishes overall. The passenger rear fender is dented in behind the right rear tire (shown) however it does not affect vehicle operation at all, just cosmetic. There is also a small dent on the rear bumper and as well as on the top rear of the cab. These are all in the photos. There is one small hole in the bottom of the driver’s side seat; otherwise the seats are in good shape. Two accidents; first-a trailer backed into the truck while stopped, damaged and then repair to front bumper, grill and headlight, second-a minor motorcycle sideswipe to passenger side also fully repaired. The vehicle is being sold as is, with no warranty.
