This car had a new timing belt kit installed with water pump, also cleaned the intake manifold. We replaced the control arm bushings and the sway bar bushings. Rides and drives like new. Transmission shifts perfect. Engine is running good, no smoking, no leaks, no abnormal noises. This car runs as a TDI should run. I am a member of the TDI community and I am very familiar with these cars. Very clean inside (the headliner was recovered because it was sagging). Non smoker vehicle. Very economical vehicle, ready to go for another 100k mls. AC is cold, heather is hot. Cruise control, power door locks, keyless entry, all work as they should. There are a few scratches and the clear coat is peeling in a few spots (I will post close up pics) but overall the vehicle looks very good. New battery. No signs of accidents, no paint work, no rust. On Mar-08-12 at 17:01:48 PST, seller added the following information: I get a lof of questions about the paint/body and also about the automatic transmission so I will try to clarify these issues a little. The paint looks good, it is pretty shiny, the only problem is with the clear coat peeling in a few places (rear trunk lid, front driver's door, some small area close to the roof edge). There are a couple of door dents/dings on the body, but nothing more that that. All the body panels have the original paint as far as I can tell. There are quite a few rock chips on the front of the car, as you can see in the pics (front bumper and front hood). Some superficial scratches, as well. Some of them I might be able to buff out. On a scale of 1 through 10, I would rate the exterior with 8.5 (mostly because of the clear coat, the dents/scratches I think are well above average for age and mileage of the vehicle. The transmission shifts PERFECT. Engages smooth, shifts through all gears smooth, no slipping, no TCC hunting, no jerking. Mechanically, I think this car deserves a 10! Interior is very clean (I recovered the headliner) and this was a non-smoker car for sure. Glove box is NOT broken. Tires are good, at least 60% left on the thread on all 4.
