Vehicle Detail
Beautiful Vintage 1953 Chevy 5-Window Pick-up Truck, restored, Two-Tone Crimson Red Custom Paint. Engine is inline 6 cylinder, 235, 12 Volt, rebuilt with 75 miles since rebuild. Odometer shows just under 82000 miles. Rebuilt engine and transmission restored to original Chevrolet factory orange--with heat resistant paint. 3-speed manual shift on the column. No problems, except one minor item---the passenger door is loose/does not shut tight--just needs adjusting. Truck has the correct tires and 5-inch rims for its age, and includes a full spare & rim----the spare does not appear in the pictures. When I bought the truck in 2004, I was told I was the third owner, but no paperwork to prove this. The truck is a good around town driver, and is road-worthy, but I have only taken it to local shows and a couple short trips less than 15 miles. I have receipts that total over $16,000 for paint, rebuilds, and full wiring replacement, but I am auctioning the truck presumably for less in order to make room for the next project. The buyer is responsible for the shipping. Buyer is expected to pay $500 down via PayPal within 48 hours and the balance within three days. Any payment method needs to clear before the truck is shipped. I reserve the right to end auction early. I have repair/restoration books, 'Chevrolet' decals for the tailgate, and a car cover that I will throw in for free for the buyer. If any questions, please let me know at e-mail: rahand@yahoo.com. For anyone who saw it, my truck was listed a few days back, but there were problems with a prospective sale and the right thing to do per EBay was to re-list/re-start the auction.
