I am selling my 1965 VW Bug. I have owned it since 1995. It has 52337 actual miles on it. It has been stored high and dry for the last 10 years and has not had a drop of water on it in that time. The last time I drove it was probably 6 years ago and it was fine. I have no doubt that with a tune up and brake check it could be driven across country (though I do recommend you trailer it home!). My last good, long trip in it was from Tennessee to Yellowstone, no problem. It's in very good shape for nearly 50 years old without restoration work. It has not been in a hard collision. It has some superficial rust on the body surface and typical rust in the floor pan, especially drivers side and in the heater boxes. Typical for it's age. The seat frames are complete but need to be recovered. The dash has not been cut or damaged in any way. I put a new gas tank in it back when I was using it. The 1200 40 horse motor (#9341163) was going strong last time it was running. I have some odds and ends to go with it, Manuals, tune up parts, gaskets, exhaust pipes, stuff like that. All yours! I have a new baby boy and I'm out of the VW business for good. Reserve is $1,750.00. I can also deliver it if it's not too far and I can get the cost of the carrier and a buck a mile round trip from Oak Ridge, TN.
