Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1965 Plymouth Belvedere II. PLEASE NOTE: This car has no title. I bought it as a restoration project. It also has a broken upper ball joint, which will make it more difficult to trailer. Also, it is missing the grille, and the original wheels. So the grille and wheels in the pictures are unavailable. Car is sitting on replacement wheels with good tires. Engine, transmission, and rear end are all original to this car. I had a buyer come to buy this car. In the process of trying to trailer it, he broke the upper ball joint on the passenger side, so the wheel tilts inward. After this he didn't want the car, only the grille and the wheels, which I sold. The car is currently on wheels, just not the original ones. There are still many good parts left on this car, if you need parts. Or it could be restored. It is a 4 door; has a straight 6 engine, automatic transmission. The previous owner let his kid get ahold of it, and he spray painted it red, which is peeling off to reveal the original black. He also tried to cut the back deck to put in oversized speakers. This car has sat on my property for about 5 years now; I have had trouble with the neighbor's teenagers trying to steal parts off of it. They detached the carb, but left it, so I have that still. The ignition tumbler is ruined; and it is also missing the radio, thanks to them. The radiator hose is also missing, but it is still full of antifreeze, you can look in the tube and see it. The steering wheel is not original, but it has a nice sporty-looking replacement. It has no back seat, (was like this when I bought it). The floors are very solid, all except for a rusted through spot by the driver's door. The trunk is also solid, the only issues being the bottom of the fender wells, which is common. The headliner is long gone. The door panels are on the doors, but no armrests. All handles are on the doors, or stowed in the trunk along with other interior parts and trim. It has had some body work done on it in the past, but is in need of more work. I actually drove this car a little after I bought it. It ran and drove great. And would start in cold weather, when nothing else would. The brake lines started leaking though, so I parked it. I would go out every so often and start it up to keep the engine from locking up. Then the neighbor kids damaged the ignition so it couldn't be started, and that's when I decided to sell it. It has sat like this for 2 years now. What you see is what you get- it needs alot of work, but would make a great restoration project, a lowrider, a highjacker, or if nothing else, alot of parts for your own restoration project. Payment is expected within 14 days of the end of the auction. Please do not bid if you do not intend to pay. Any non-paying bidder will be reported to Ebay, and receive negative feedback. No shipping will be provided; all pick up and shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. I have described this car to the best of my ability; if I forgot to mention anything, it wasn't intentional deception. So please ask any questions you may have, prior to bidding, to ensure satisfaction with your purchase. Thanks, and Happy Bidding! On Mar-01-12 at 16:02:52 PST, seller added the following information: This car is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Thank you.
