1977 MGB Hello and welcome to my auction. This car belonged to our mechanic. It was a running, driving car when he parked it in his dad's barn several years ago. Odometer shows 77688 miles. Title shows the mileage when he bought it as 44624. Vehicle has a clean Illinois title and keys. I bought it with the idea of taking the body off and mounting it to a 4x4 Jeep chassis to create a mini sized rock crawler. The unused components were to be parted out online to generate cash. Circumstances are such that I can no longer proceed with that project, so it must find a new home. I have towed it a few feet while in gear and the engine is not frozen. It does turn. The body is solid. Paint is oxidized. Only possible rust seems to be slight surface discoloring as shown in pictures. This car was undercoated. The floors, fenders, trunk, and chassis are all solid. All the glass is good. I do have the thermostat cover, the additional part for the brake master, and the headlight rings.(see pictures). Convertible roof is intact. The tonneau cover comes with. Jacks and other accessories are in the trunk. Carpet needs to be replaced. Upholstery needs to be replaced. Dash has a crack in the vinyl. Stick shift knob is missing. Tires have good tread, but are dryed out. Please excuse the generous supply of barn dust. : ) Conclusion: vehicle is basically all there and a good candidate for a restoration.
