For sale for my local credit union is a 1977 GMC Step Side Truck with a custom bed and custom interior. The engine is bad and will need to be rebuilt , here is what I know about the motor besides being bad , the heads are double hump casting # 3890462 , 2.02 from a 67 corvette , the block is casting 3970010 a older 4 bolt main LT1 , the tranny is a turbo 350 which is good , weiand 8004 intake , holley carb , full headers , hei dist , 12 bolt rear end , the truck is lowered has cragar wheels looks like 12 wide on the rear , gabriel shocks , the truck had a piston come loose from crank and broke a valve and other pistons ate up several plugs , I think by markings the truck was built in 87 or 88 , the tranny besides being dirty from engine oil is very clean and does not look that old i sprayed brake clean to read the number and it looked great , before I tore the engine down I drove it in the shop without valve covers because the last shop kept them so everything got coated in oil . the truck has a custom interior hopefully the pics show it and it is pretty nice it has dual sunroofs and they leaked the interior has a wet smell but it can clean up there is no mildew , dash door panels seat carpet headliner all custom and pretty nice it also has 4 point seat belts , the exterior is nice the bed appears to have been replaced because there is no rust except a small area by gas filler which is just surface very small the bumpers are great the wood planks in the bed looks old , the cab has some rust mainly when you open the drivers door the bottom rocker the hood has some but it is not bad and only on front lip around the windows looks good only one small spot of rust , bottom of doors has small areas but all of it can be fixxed it is a great looking truck that at one time had alot of money put in it. the cragar wheels have surface rust tires are old .
