This gorgeous 1983 Mercedes turbodiesel wagon was purchased in October of 1983 in Houston /Tx . by the original owner . It was always serviced at the Mercedes dealership in Houston . After 23 years , when the first owner passed away the car had only 73k miles on it . It was purchased by the second owner , who brought it with him here to Los Angeles . He was also extremely particular about maintaining it to the highest standard . It was always serviced at Beverly Laurel Automotive who specialize in Mercedes Benz only . Every little and big thing was always attended to right away without regard of cost . I have over $20k of service records to prove it . The transmission was completely rebuilt 2 years ago . The whole AC system has been gone through . The front suspension has been gone through . It has been completely serviced . The valves have been adjusted and all fluids and filters have been changed . Long story short , this car has been maintained extremely well , it has very low miles and it drives accordingly . It has plenty of pick up , shifts smooth and it is not slow at all . This classic wagon is a competent , safe and reliable daily driver . About 1 year ago it has also been converted to run on Bio-diesel . It was a single tank conversion and now the car could drive on regular diesel , bio diesel , vegetable oil or even free waste oil from restaurants . So far it has only been driven on regular diesel due to convenience , but if you are interested , it can also go on all the other fuels .  This wonderful wagon was finished in deep blue ( MB color code 900  " surf blau ") with palomino color MB-Tex interior . It is a stunning color combination and this car does get a lot of attention . There are just not many 123 series wagons in that condition on the road anymore . The body is in great condition all around . The paint still looks wonderful and there are just some small rock chips under the front lights . I took many detailed pictures and you can hardly see them . The chrome is in great condition . The interior is also very nice . The beige color is a wonderful contrast to the dark blue exterior . There are no rips or tears in the seats and they are still firm . Even the wood is stunning , still shiny and free of cracks . The original radio was replaced a couple of years ago with a Alpine detachable face unit with a cd-player . But i also still do have the original radio and it comes with the car . I also do have the very rare roof-rack chrome bars .Even though this wagon is almost 30 years old , it truly still is a gorgeous car . I posted many detailed pictures , they can describe the car better than i can . If you need to see anything else , or have some questions , please ask .  Since this 300TDT wagon is one of the lowest mileage 123 series wagons out there and has been maintained so well , it is pleasure to drive . It is the fastest and smoothest shifting 300TD i have ever driven . All the gauges are working well , the power door-locks and all the other vacuum components function the way they should , there are no leaks and the AC is blowing ice cold . I can not think of anything it needs at this point .  I would prefer to sell this car to somebody local , who could come by , see it and test drive it . But i would also be willing to help with shipping arrangements or a airport pick up . All shipping charges would have to be paid by the buyer . I would not hesitate to sit in this car today and drive it to the east coast . But it is 29 years old and it will be sold without a warranty " as is " and " where is " .
