This is a nice 1981 Rabbit Pickup. The motor has been rebuilt with oversize bore and rebuilt head by an ASE master tech. The body was and is rust free and was painted the original color in a body shop. The bed is sprayed with a spray in bed finish. The brakes were all replaced including the master cylinder. It has a new windshield and gasket. Carpeting is new and the interior has been replaced but not professionally. Tires on front are 30% and rear 60%. The emergency brake cables are new. The radio does not work and the horn clicks but does not sound. The ac works but has a small leak which the last time lasted about 6 months. It has been converted to 134A. The front spring towers show surface rust at the top of the bushing, but only surface. The rest of the towers are very solid and the tops need nothing but sanding and painting as the picture shows. The shifter bushings were replaced. Of course the timing belt was new with the rebuild. New heater core and all hoses. New ball joints and outer tie rods. The truck has sat in my garage since all the work was finished being started regularly but not driven so the rebuild has very few miles on it. I drove a rabbit for many years and restored this one to drive when I retired. Of course I found another vehicle that I wanted more and my wife insists we are not licensing and insuring 5 vehicles besides my other toys. This is a 30 year old vehicle and I am sure there are minor issues a new owner will discover but it is very nice truck.
