1973 Volkswagen Van I install septic tanks, and received this van as payment for my work. I thought it would be great for my family, but my wife was not fond of it. It had sat unused for about 3 years before I put it on the road. The previous owner had a new job that she traveled alot out of town. She parked it, and the battery died. It had new tires before it was parked 3 years ago, and they are still good. I put a battery in it, and I bought a brand new weber carburetor, cap and rotor. The engine, transmission, and brakes work great. The two front seats look new, but one has a spring poking out that will tear your pants. The door handle for the sliding door and the drivers door are broken, but are still functional. The back seats were removed and hardwood flooring installed. There is a "cabinet like" bench seat in the rear and two seats behind the front two seats. It's kind of weird for seating in the back??? It runs great, looks great, and NO RUST!
