Up for sale is a very nice 1992 mercedes benz 500sl I have owned this car since september 2011 I only got it because someone owed me money and he couldn't pay me back so he gave me the car. I have been driving it as my second car and love it but I'm buying a house now so it has to go. Its in very nice shape overall. The exterior is very nice it has very minimal flaws for its age. Small chips in the hood from regular road debris and some small rust starting to bubbling under the paint by the antenna area I took a picture of it and its about the size of a dime. The interior is also in very nice shape with just a few normal wear kind of flaws. There are a few cracks in the console I took picture of and on the door panel on the drivers side also can be seen in the pictures. The motor runs good and has a lots of power!!!!! The car drives as tight as when it left the showroom I'm going to miss driving this car. I also put a new battery in it about 3 weeks ago. The only real mechanical problem with this car is when putting the convertible top up or down you need to hold the roll bar down with your hand (normally it does this by hitting the button) and when you try to put the hard top on it doesn't latch down for some reason you hear the motor trying to grab the latches and your can see the mechanism moving but it doesn't pull it down for some reason. I have the hard top and I just put in a new headliner in it and its in mint shape except the rear glass has a crack in it ( does not leak) it looks like when a rock hits your windshield. The hard top is included with the sale but I can't attach it to the car so shipping it with the car might be difficult. If this is a local sale I will transport it for you in my truck.
