Although I sell a large amount of vehicles through a small dealership, I take the time to personally road test each vehicle so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. You can find the answers to most questions simply by reading this description. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1997 Saab 900 SE turbo. The Saab 900 is a great car. They are incredibly simple and incredibly tough. I would rate the exterior condition of this one to be ABOVE AVERAGE for the age and miles of the car. As you can see, this is a great looking car. The SE trim is top of the line for a Saab 900 and gives the larger sport alloy wheels and rear spoiler for starters. The black finish has a mile deep shine and looks good from any angle. Please expect some normal wear. There are some older stone chips on the nose of the hood. There are no major dents or scratches to report. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The optional sport alloy wheels look great and are wrapped in nice rubber all around. I would also rate the interior condition of this Saab 900 SE to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. Finding one of these in this color combination (black on black w/o wood accents) is not common. The door cards are unusually clean. The carpets show very well throughout the cabin, too. The headliner is clean. The trunk area is also spacious and clean. The leather seats are in great condition for their age and show no rips, cracks or really even any wear. As mentioned earlier, this is an SE model which gives you tons of features and options not found in lesser models. Both front seats are power adjusted with memory settings on the drivers seat. Both front seats are heated, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The power windows, locks, mirrors, seats and sunroof all work properly. The stereo is the original am/fm cassette up front with a CD changer in the trunk. Also, it appears that this car is already wired for Sirrius satalite radio...the dock and antenna are already in place. Pride in ownership shows throughout this car. A complete set of owners books are included for the next owner. Also, this car comes with two keys and one remote (needs battery) for the factory alarm. Again, this is an uncommonly well kept Saab 900 in its most desirable form. Mechanically, this Saab appears to be in good running condition. The 2.0L turbocharged engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. I've put close to 100 miles on this car myself. It is an absolute blast to drive. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering is neutral and responsive like it should be. Cruising strait, the wheel is about 10 degrees off to the left but it does not pull either direction. The brakes stop the car very well. The clutch does not slip or chatter and gear changes are smooth through the manual gearbox. Accelleration is effortless thanks to the turbocharged engine. Spool time is quick and the power comes on very fast. There were no warning lights on. The engine keeps a nice steady temperature while driving. She cruises nice and strait down the highway.
