Even though I sell about a dozen vehicles per week, I take the time to road test each one personally so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Please take the time to read this entire description carefully and review each photo in detail before bidding or asking questions as most questions I get are already answered in my description. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. The Jeep Grand Cherokee represents one of the best values in a used SUV available in todays market. I would rate the exterior condition of this Jeep to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and miles of the truck. As you can see, this is a great looking Jeep. The dark green finish has a deep shine and looks good from any angle. I didn't get a chance to wash it before taking these photos. There are no noteworthy scratches or dents that I could find. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The alloy wheels look great. The front tires are a little thin but the rears are okay. Overall, this Jeep is in exceptional physical condition. I would also rate the interior of this Jeep Grand Cherokee to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. It's obvious that someone took great care of this Jeep. The seats, carpets and headliner are all clean. The wood trim is nice and tight. Other than one small loose spot, the headliner is nice and tight...not all saggy like most get. The cargo area is spacious and clean. This is a pretty well optioned Laredo. The power windows, locks, seats and mirrors all work properly. Both front seats are power operated...an option found mostly on Limited Editions. The climate control system appears to be in proper working order. The stereo is the original am/fm cassette and CD system. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Jeep. It comes with a full set of keys (two masters, two remotes and one valet). I see a lot of Jeeps...they are something I buy and sell plenty of. This is one of the cleanest ones I have come across in a while. Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running condition. The famous 4.0L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. I've had the opportunity to drive this Jeep on several occasions and it runs very well. The engine temp keeps nice and steady and the oil pressure is excellent...which is very, very important. That makes the difference between Jeeps that run 400k and ones that don't. The front end is showing normal wear for the age, hence the worn front tires. The brakes feel excellent. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. This Jeep has the Select-Trac 4WD system which I prefer to the full time Quadra-Trac. In addition to increased fuel economy by not being constantly in 4WD, the Quadra-Trac's tend to bind up in tight corners which makes every day drivability an annoyance.
