My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. I buy traded vehicles in volume and resell them wholesale direct to the public through eBay. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions takes the games out of buying a used vehicle. You don't have to be an expert negotiator to get a great deal from me. Each vehicle is thoroughly road tested before being listed on eBay so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. Vehicles are available for inspections and test drives by appointment only at my York, PA storage facility. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Please take the time to read this entire description carefully before bidding. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a very nice 2000 BMW 540i with the factory Sport Package. The BMW Sport Package is probably the most immitated package...but buying a set of Motorsport wheels doesn't make it a Sport. There are several differences. The easiest way to spot a REAL Sport is to look at the steering wheel. Any BMW that is an original Sport Package car will have the Motorsport three spoke wheel...which most posers can't afford. Other subtle differences are: more aggressive suspension, black shadowline trim and "sport seats". The easiest way to spot a Sport Seat is the sliding under leg bolster at the front of the seat cushion. There are many people out there trying to pass off regular 528's and 540's as something they are not. I would rate the exterior condition of this 540i to be in EXCELLENT condition, a rating I rarely give. Other than a small blemish in the paint on the trunk lid, there really isn't anything bad to say. The dark gray paint looks amazing in contrast to the light gray interior and light gray Motorsport alloy wheels. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The tires are average all around and will probably last another year (give or take) depending on your driving habits :). Overall, this car is in amazing condition. Pride in ownership is obvious in every inch of this car. This 540 could easily pass for a BWM certified used car and would not look out of place at a BMW dealership. I would also rate the interior condition of this BMW to be in EXCELLENT condition. The door panels, carpets and seats all show very well and are in near mint condition througout. Don't let the miles scare you...cars don't stay in this condition by accident. It's obvious that the previous owner went well out of his way to show this car an impeccable level of care. The trunk is clean and spacious, too. All the electronics (windows, locks, seats, sunroof and mirrors) are in perfect working condition. The climate control system is fully automatic and is working perfectly, offering independent temperature settings for the driver and passenger. This vehicle comes with two, yes two, original remote entry keys. The security system is so advanced, you can arm it with the windows lowered and a motion sensor in the car can detect if someone reaches through your open window. The stereo system is the original premium sound system with cassette up front and CD changer in the trunk. Mechanically, this 540i appears to be in good running condition. The 282hp 4.4L V8 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I didn't notice any leaks. The suspension is nice and tight. The steering is fast and responsive, too. The brakes do an excellent job at stopping this rocket. The clutch is nice and light with no slipping, chatter or noise. Gear changes through the Getrag 6 speed manual transmission are smooth as they should be. The engine makes great power and highway cruising is effortless. What is most impressive is that, thanks to nearly perfect gearing, you can still get impressive fuel economy if you can keep your right foot off the floor, haha. This 540i has a small vacuum leak at the intake which is common with this engine. It makes a hesitation once in a while...but most people ignore it. I have a great BMW shop here in York that I can refer you to if that is something that concerns you. It will cost about $500 to fix it correctly. Otherwise, the only quirk I've found is that, while driving, the ABS/Traction light comes on at random. It doesn't bother me...I think traction control and anti-lock brakes are for people who can't drive. If you can't handle a car, take time to learn it or don't buy it. Leaning on a bunch of computers to make up for lack of driving ability is pretty lame, if you ask me. This is a truly exceptional example of one of a great car. I've owned more BMW's than I can count. When you compare a manual transmission 540i to an E39 M5 ( which I've owned), the 540i wins hands down. Don't get me wrong, the M5 performs better in any circumstance. Where the 540 wins in my book is in value. It costs about half as much as an M5 with comparable miles and maintainence is a fraction of what you pay to keep an M5 happy...trust me, I've been there...it's not fun. Don't let the miles scare you...cars don't stay in this condition by accident. It's obvious that the previous owner went well out of his way to show this car an impeccable level of care. The trunk is clean and spacious, too. All the electronics (windows, locks, seats, sunroof and mirrors) are in perfect working condition. The climate control system is fully automatic and is working perfectly, offering independent temperature settings for the driver and passenger. This vehicle comes with two, yes two, original remote entry keys. The security system is so advanced, you can arm it with the windows lowered and a motion sensor in the car can detect if someone reaches through your open window. The stereo system is the original premium sound system with cassette up front and CD changer in the trunk.
Mechanically, this 540i appears to be in good running condition. The 282hp 4.4L V8 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I didn't notice any leaks. The suspension is nice and tight. The steering is fast and responsive, too. The brakes do an excellent job at stopping this rocket. The clutch is nice and light with no slipping, chatter or noise. Gear changes through the Getrag 6 speed manual transmission are smooth as they should be. The engine makes great power and highway cruising is effortless. What is most impressive is that, thanks to nearly perfect gearing, you can still get impressive fuel economy if you can keep your right foot off the floor, haha. This 540i has a small vacuum leak at the intake which is common with this engine. It makes a hesitation once in a while...but most people ignore it. I have a great BMW shop here in York that I can refer you to if that is something that concerns you. It will cost about $500 to fix it correctly. Otherwise, the only quirk I've found is that, while driving, the ABS/Traction light comes on at random. It doesn't bother me...I think traction control and anti-lock brakes are for people who can't drive. If you can't handle a car, take time to learn it or don't buy it. Leaning on a bunch of computers to make up for lack of driving ability is pretty lame, if you ask me. This is a truly exceptional example of one of a great car. I've owned more BMW's than I can count. When you compare a manual transmission 540i to an E39 M5 ( which I've owned), the 540i wins hands down. Don't get me wrong, the M5 performs better in any circumstance. Where the 540 wins in my book is in value. It costs about half as much as an M5 with comparable miles and maintainence is a fraction of what you pay to keep an M5 happy...trust me, I've been there...it's not fun. Payments made by wire transfer, check(cashiers or personal), money order will be subject to verification of fundss by my bank. The vehilce will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and available for withdraw.

All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auctions end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Fees:
An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Buyer is responsible for their own taxes, tags and registration fees. 30 day transport tags are available through PennDOT to out of state buyers for $35.
