I need to sell my 81' Toyota Trekker. This was a truck conversion done by Winnebago and was the predecessor to the 4runner, there were only about 1200 of these trucks ever made and im sure not many have made it this long. I picked it up last year to use as a project but I don't have the time for it anymore. I stopped driving it about a month ago when it started a slow coolant leak from the intake side of the engine. It starts rite up and runs great but I don't have much trust in driving it very far now. Its no beauty contest winner but works well and with some work it has a lot of potential to be a cool VERY rare truck. The good Its a Trekker! 5spd 4x4 Front and rear lockers, 3.90 gears 90% 31x10 Toyo A/T's Rebuilt carb Electric fan & Controller New water pump New radiator GM 100a Alternator New coolant hoses Spark plugs/wires New distributor New timing chain Newer seats Thule roof rack cross bars 85k miles No cancer only surface rust under the truck Heater and AC work! The Bad: Old repaint has, chips, scratches, and flakes Interior is 4/10 but is simple and cheap to work with Cab to camper seal needs to be replaced (sealed with silicone now) Door panels need to be replaced or repaired Coolant leak Oil pump bolt hole stripped, needs helicoil General repairs that come with a vehicle this old Someone got into the truck and broke my dash bezel to steel the cheap CD player I had but did not damage the truck. I will also include NIB front rotors/pads, rear shoes/cylinders, and a FULL Trail Gear front axle seal kit and a few other misc new parts I have. Clean CA title and passed smog just fine last year before all the tune up work was even done. I am willing to work with anyone for shipping the truck anywhere in the US.
