1959 Mercury Commuter 2 door Station Wagon. Very very rare indeed. They made just 1051 of these. The engine is the original good running 383 I believe, I'll try to upload video of it running, I just put a battery in it and gas in the carb and it fired and ran well. I have not tried to drive it so I have no idea about the trans or brakes. This vehicle is solid but needs a compete resto or drive and fix a little at a time. The only rust I have found is on the hood and tailgate, visible in the pics.. There is no other rust in the floors as the pics will also show. I have not had the car taken apart or raised on a lift. I don't know any history, I've had it for just over a year and no time to play with it, just too many projects. I also have a matching four door wagon to sell later on ebay, after I start it once.
