My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. I buy traded vehicles in volume and resell them wholesale directly to the public through eBay. Each vehicle is thoroughly road tested before being listed on eBay so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. Vehicles are available for inspections and test drives by appointment only at my York, PA storage facility. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Please take the time to read this entire description carefully and review all photos in detail before bidding. I am not a mechanic but I try to include as much information as I can for each vehicle I sell. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 1998 Mercedes-Benz S500. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am a die-hard Mercedes fan...at least the older ones that aren't glorified Chryslers (anyone who has driven a true Mercedes and a Chrysler Mercedes knows what I'm talking about). These cars represent the absolute best in Mercedes-Benz history. The W140 chassis represents the last of an era when a Mercedes-Benz was made to a standard, not a price point. These were expensive cars and they did not apologize to anyone for it. I would rate the exterior condition of this S500 as AVERAGE for the age and miles of the vehicle. The black finish shows well but is a little faded hood. There is no major body damage beyond normal wear. The windows are professionally tinted and look great against the black exterior of the car. This Mercedes is equipped with the rare factory chrome wheels which are wrapped in good rubber all around. The power antenna does not fully retract. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The vacuum assist on all four doors and trunk works properly. Additionally, this S500 is equipped with factory auto-level xenon headlights. I would rate the interior of this Mercedes to also be in AVERAGE condition. The door panels are clean and tight all around. The carpets are clean and show well throughout the cabin. The headliner is clean and tight. The tan leather seats are comfortable and show very well throughout. The front seats are both power adjusted. All four seats are heated. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The plastic cover to the first aid kit is missing from the rear deck. The automatic climate control system is working properly and offers settings for both the driver and passenger as well as rear vents for the rear passengers. The stereo appears to the the factory system and sounds great and has no volume knob issues. The trunk is spacious and clean. Mechanically, this Mercedes appears to be in good running condition. I've had this car since June and have put several hundred miles on it. The 305hp 5.0L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I have not seen any leaks. The engine keeps proper temperature and oil pressure is normal. The suspension feels good and the brakes are new up front so it drives nice and stops well. Accelleration is a breeze thanks to the power behind the big V8 engine. The five speed automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. I would probably continue to keep this car but I have to thin the heard a bit. I like cars too much and end up keeping the cool ones which can get expensive. My New Years resolution is to stop keeping everything I like so I'm getting rid of a few of my favorite cars like my Range Rover, 750iL (V12 BMW), 740i Sport and 540i Sport to name a few. I truly hope this car goes to a fellow enthusiast like myself. Clean, low mile 140's are getting hard to find anymore. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Side note...if memory serves me correctly, autocheck shows a minor odometer discrepency. It looks like the miles went from 96,xxx to 90,xxx back to 96,xxx. Logic would lead me to believe that someone wrote a sloppy "6" which was recorded as a "0". Anyone with a brain can figure that out but it trips the computer when it looks at miles. The title I have shows actual miles. Hope that addresses any potential confusion. I buy traded vehicles in volume and resell them wholesale directly to the public through eBay. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you big money over retail. Each vehicle is thoroughly road tested before being listed on eBay so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. Vehicles are available for inspections and test drives by appointment only at my York, PA storage facility. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Please take the time to read this entire description carefully and review all photos in detail before bidding. I am not a mechanic but I try to include as much information as I can for each vehicle I sell.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 1998 Mercedes-Benz S500. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am a die-hard Mercedes fan...at least the older ones that aren't glorified Chryslers (anyone who has driven a true Mercedes and a Chrysler Mercedes knows what I'm talking about). These cars represent the absolute best in Mercedes-Benz history. The W140 chassis represents the last of an era when a Mercedes-Benz was made to a standard, not a price point. These were expensive cars and they did not apologize to anyone for it.
I would rate the exterior condition of this S500 as AVERAGE for the age and miles of the vehicle. The black finish shows well but is a little faded hood. There is no major body damage beyond normal wear. The windows are professionally tinted and look great against the black exterior of the car. This Mercedes is equipped with the rare factory chrome wheels which are wrapped in good rubber all around. The power antenna does not fully retract. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The vacuum assist on all four doors and trunk works properly. Additionally, this S500 is equipped with factory auto-level xenon headlights.
I would rate the interior of this Mercedes to also be in AVERAGE condition. The door panels are clean and tight all around. The carpets are clean and show well throughout the cabin. The headliner is clean and tight. The tan leather seats are comfortable and show very well throughout. The front seats are both power adjusted. All four seats are heated. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The plastic cover to the first aid kit is missing from the rear deck. The automatic climate control system is working properly and offers settings for both the driver and passenger as well as rear vents for the rear passengers. The stereo appears to the the factory system and sounds great and has no volume knob issues. The trunk is spacious and clean.
Mechanically, this Mercedes appears to be in good running condition. I've had this car since June and have put several hundred miles on it. The 305hp 5.0L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. The engine does not smoke and I have not seen any leaks. The engine keeps proper temperature and oil pressure is normal. The suspension feels good and the brakes are new up front so it drives nice and stops well. Accelleration is a breeze thanks to the power behind the big V8 engine. The five speed automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. I would probably continue to keep this car but I have to thin the heard a bit. I like cars too much and end up keeping the cool ones which can get expensive. My New Years resolution is to stop keeping everything I like so I'm getting rid of a few of my favorite cars like my Range Rover, 750iL (V12 BMW), 740i Sport and 540i Sport to name a few. I truly hope this car goes to a fellow enthusiast like myself. Clean, low mile 140's are getting hard to find anymore. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
Side note...if memory serves me correctly, autocheck shows a minor odometer discrepency. It looks like the miles went from 96,xxx to 90,xxx back to 96,xxx. Logic would lead me to believe that someone wrote a sloppy "6" which was recorded as a "0". Anyone with a brain can figure that out but it trips the computer when it looks at miles. The title I have shows actual miles. Hope that addresses any potential confusion.

Accepted Payment Methods:
Vehicle will be immediately available for pick up if paid by cash in person. Payments made by wire transfer, check(cashiers or personal), money order will be subject to verification of fundss by my bank. The vehilce will be held until all funds have been cleared by my bank and available for withdraw.
Paypal is accepted for the initial deposit only...not the balance.
All vehicles shall be removed within 14 days of auctions end. Any vehicle left longer than 14 days without arrangements being made prior to the end of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day.
Fees:
An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Buyer is responsible for their own taxes, tags and registration fees. 30 day transport tags are available through PennDOT to out of state buyers for $35.
This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->
