The way I happened upon this 1993 GMC 2500 4X4 SUBURBAN is a neat story. I was driving down I-H 10 East going into San Antonio one day when I was passed by this beautiful flashy red SUBURBAN, it had a for sale sign on the back of it so I caught up to it and wrote the phone number down. I called a couple of days later and talked to the owners widow, she told me that when I saw the truck that her daughter was using it to move her things into her new home in Corpus Christie Tx. I asked if I could see the truck and we arranged a time over the weekend. When I arrived at the owners home in San Antonio Tx. she told me that her husband had recently passed away and the Suburban had belonged to him and it was his baby. The truck was parked in her large 3 car garage and it was so clean you could eat off of it, it even smelled new inside. We pulled the truck out of the garage and onto the street in front of her home. When she started the truck I could hear the rumble of the 454 V8 motor go through the single FLOWMASTER exhaust. The sun shimmered off of the BEAUTIFUL RED PAINT and CUSTOM CHROME WHEELS. The body was nearly flawless with only a few small blemishes. There was no signs of rust and the truck had no history damage. When I opened the door I was greeted by a clean and crisp grey velour interior complete with a third seat. The truck has a very basic PIONEER CD PLAYER and the stock radio was unhooked. The carpet, headliner and seats were in great shape and the only thing I saw that stood out in my mind was that the passenger side sun visor had about a 3" gap where the stitching had separated along the edge. The owner presented me a folder full of service invoices on the truck and had just had the truck serviced and during that service a NEW SERPENTINE BELT AND TENSIONER ASSEMBLY was installed, a NEW WATER PUMP was installed, a COOLANT FLUSH was performed, a NEW INTERSTATE BATTERY, was installed, a POWER STEERING FLUSH was performed, a BRAKE SYSTEM FLUSH was performed, and ALL FLUIDS WERE REPLACED WITH SYNTHETICS. I then drove the truck for a few miles and it put a big smile on my face, the truck was awesome so I bought it. After I bought the truck I bought 5 BRAND NEW B.F. GOODRICH 265/16 ALL TERRAIN TIRES for the truck and replaced a broken trailer connector with a BRAND NEW 7 WAY/4 WAY CONNECTOR AND HARNESS KIT. I also had a NEW COMPLETE 4 WHEEL BRAKE JOB done on the truck and at that time I had THE BEARINGS FRESHLY PACKED and a NEW FRONT END ALIGNMENT. The truck starts, runs, shifts drives and stops flawlessly, IT HAS ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, THE 4WD SYSTEM WORKS LIKE NEW AND ALL ELECTRONICS AND GAUGES WORK PROPERLY with the exception of the trip meter (the odometer works fine). The rear wind shield wiper works when it want to so I think if the switch on the dash were cleaned it would work when you wanted it to. This 1993 SUBURBAN has 169,000 miles on it at the time I wrote the description but we do drive the truck about 4 times a week so the mileage at the time of sale may be slightly higher. The truck shows VERY well and I get compliments on it all the time. I know that there are other suburbans out there to choose from at a cheaper price but none of them are IN TOP SHAPE AND CONDITION and are WELL MAINTAINED like this one is. This SUBURBAN has been GARAGE KEPT SINCE IT WAS BRAND NEW and it shows. My family and I have taken several trips over 700 miles in this truck without any problems whatsoever. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO DRIVE THIS TRUCK ANYWHERE AT ANYTIME FOR ANY DISTANCE. OUTSIDE INSPECTIONS ARE WELCOMED AND ENCOURAGED. The new owner of this truck will be very happy with this truck and will get many years and miles of service out of it. THE TRUCK NEEDS NOTHING BUT A NEW OWNER, we have bought a new Quigley 4x4 12 passenger van to travel in and we do not have room in the garage for this truck any longer. THE TRUCK WAS PICTURED IN THIS AUCTION WITH THE TIRES THAT IT HAD ON IT WHEN I BOUGHT THE TRUCK BUT IT NOW HAS AND WILL BE SOLD WITH 5 (INCLUDING THE SPARE) BRAND NEW BFG ALL TERRAINS ON IT, ONE PICTURE IS INCLUDED OF THE NEW TIRES. I HAVE TALKED TO THE PERSON I BOUGHT THE TRUCK FROM ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND SHE STATED THAT THE MILEAGE ON THE TRUCK AS DESCRIBED (169,000) IS IN FACT THE ACTUAL MILEAGE AND THAT THE MILEAGE STATED BY THE AUTOCHECK REPORT MUST HAVE BEEN A CLERICAL ERROR. IN ADDITION THE SERVICE RECORDS ON THIS TRUCK ALSO SUPPORTS THAT THE ORIGINAL MILEAGE STATED IN THE DESCRIPTION (169,000) IS TRUE AND ACCURATE. IN EITHER CASE THE MILEAGE ON THIS TRUCK IS EXEMPT AND I CANNOT GUARANTEE ACTUAL MILEAGE ON THE TRUCK. HOWEVER THIS DOES NOT IN ANY WAY EFFECT THE DESCRIPTION OF THE CONDITION AND RELIABILITY OF THIS TRUCK . I BELIVE IN MY HEART THAT THE TRUCK ONLY HAS 169,000 MILES ON IT BUT SINCE I CANNOT PROVE THIS I AM NOW GOING TO ADD A "BUY IT NOW" PRICE MUCH LOWER THAN THE ORIGINAL RESERVE ON THE TRUCK. THIS IS VERY DISAPPOINTING TO ME AND I WILL NOW BE LOSING MORE MONEY ON THE SALE OF THIS TRUCK. THIS DOES NOT NEGATE THE FACT THAT THIS TRUCK IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND IS WAY ABOVE THE AVERAGE CONDITION FOR A VEHICLE THIS AGE.
