Hi, this auction is for a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport, I bought the vehicle from a seller in Florida last week, had it transported to California and realized that it will cost me way too much to modify it back to factory exhaust(to pass California smog) so I am selling it...my loss your gain. The info below is from the seller in Florida, I only drove the car to the muffler shop and back. A few other things not mentioned below is the paint is original and not in great shape but still has some shine to it, I cannot find any dents on the body it is clean. The drivers door inside panel on the lower side of the rest there is damage and cannot be fixed(but can be replaced) but does not affect the door or pull. All electrical works. The front grille has two cracks(one on each side top, see photos), I am including a brand new Ford OEM grille that is the style but flat black and ready for paint or leave as is and comes with a brand new Ford OEM grille emblem(attached). If you are a Crown Vic fan this is a cool car. All glass is free of cracks only slight road pitting on the windshield. NOTE: THE CAR IS SOLD AS IS WHERE IS. IT WILL NOT CURRENTLY PASS A CALIFORNIA SMOG CHECK DUE TO MODIFICATION WHICH THE PREVIOUS OWNER REMOVED LEFT AND RIGHT CATALYTIC CONVERTERS AND REPLACED WITH MUSTANG PIPES. THE CAR SOUNDS VERY COOL THOUGH. FLORIDA TITLE IS CLEAR. COMES WITH TWO TRANSPONDER(PATS) KEYS WITH ALARM FOBS. I will be glad to assist you with transportation suggestions, if you have never transported a vehicle be careful when contacting a company as you will be overwhelmed with emails and phone calls from tons of brokers...been there done that. MAKE ME AN OFFER, ALL REASONABLE OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED. Only 2,989 LX Sports were produced in 2002, very few of them in black! Rare 2002 Crown Victoria LX Sport, top of the line LX edition with sport package (factory 17" aluminum wheels, sport handling suspension, dual exhaust, leather buckets, center console, floor shifter, & more). Only difference between this and the Mercury Marauder is the 4V big head engine (and this is about 1/3 of the price ... Marauders typically run around $15,000). Fully loaded with graphite leather bucket seats, power windows/locks/mirrors/seats, 4 wheel oversize disk brakes, cruise, tilt, steering wheel control, alarm, remote entry, coded entry & more! This is NOT and NEVER WAS a police car. Completely rust free Florida car! Has 129K mostly highway miles (original owner was about 60 years of age). About 1000 miles on fully rebuilt transmission (including B&M shift kit, clutches, bands, and heavy duty torque converter) & 8.8 rear end (new 3.73 gears, carbon fiber positraction, bearings and races), ball joints, idler arm, sway bar end links, tie rods, and KYB shocks. Fresh transmission fluid & oil change (& filters), needs nothing! Includes Alpine head unit, Kicker speakers, two amps and two 12's in a very nice custom designed subwoofer enclosure, and a Sirius Satellite Radio. Also includes a $500 computer flash programmer so you can modify transmission shift pressure & points, spark advance to run on different gas, adjust speedometer for ratio (now adjusted to 3.73), and many many more adjustments. My asking price is about what the upgrades cost, not including the price of this very hard to find car! Many people think it's a police or FBI car, but it is so much nicer, as well as much faster. The 3.73 gears actually help in town fuel economy while retaining decent (24-26 MPG) highway MPG.. if you really want a mustang, but need a habitable back seat & trunk ... this is the car for you! Wanted to add that the car also has the mustang crossover pipe, which deleted the front cats, so if you live where there is emissions inspections, you might have to replace it with the stock pipes, readily available in any junkyard (full of police cars). There are no codes, though, as the programmer has a mode to run with this configuration. At current, she is programmed to run on regular unleaded fuel, and with the 3.73 gears in the rear end (speedometer is accurate).
