Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1969 Plymouth Road Runner to the highest bidder... NO Reserve! It runs and drives extremely well, and can be driven home where ever you live. The past year the car has had the following parts replaced new: All rubber in the brake system (master cyl., hoses, wheel cylinders) Alternator New Edelbrock Carburator w/ electric choke. Original carb. in the trunk works ok. Tires Fuel sending unit, fuel pump, and hoses... gas tank professionally dipped and cleaned. Air Grabber filter and rubber gasket Mopar Performance Electronic Ignition The car mechanically is in very good condition and would make someone a good "driver" as it is. Of course, the car has some typical issues with the body and some systems such as: The fuel gauge does not work. New sending unit did not fix....have not investigated further. Speedometer cable is missing. Wipers do not work. Have not investigated problem. Left side muffler is bad and leaks exhaust some. Sounds pretty good though. One or more brake drums need to be turned to eliminate shakes on hard stops. It is a Georgia car and does not show signs of crash damage, however the dealer installed undercoating has trapped moisture in several placed in the floor pan that should be repaired. Trunk has been repaired with fiberglass. See pictures. Missing one back windshield lower chrome piece. The typical rust around the back glass does NOT exist... all good metal around the glass. Pin holes do exist around the trunk gasket lip on the body. The pinch weld seam around the rear wheel well and the quarter panel was cut out for wide tire clearance. Also the quarters have old bondo that is starting to bubble or crack out. Fender tag is in rough condition and the build sheet is missing. You will find the fender tag in one of the photobucket pictures with my best effort at interpreting it. The engine and transmission are matching numbers... however, they do not match THIS car. The best guess is the 383 HP engine, 18 spline Hemi 4 spd. A-833 trans., Dana 60 rear end, and the Air Grabber parts probably came from a 69 or 70 Road Runner doner car. These are the correct type engine and transmission for a true Road Runner car, just not matching numbers to my vin. Any car made from 1985 and OLDER do not have to have a title in Georgia. This car is one of them. I have found that Florida and Alabama will issue a title based on a Georgia registration and a bill of sale. Most if not all states should do the same. Check with your state to verify what they may need to title a Georgia car! I have the registration and Bill of Sale o n l y. The good things are plenty, such as: The 383 HP engine runs strong, quiet, trouble free. The new carb cranks easy, idles good. The new electronic ignition helps a lot. The steering, brakes, suspension, lights, "beep-beep" horn all work good and tight. This is a factory Road Runner with manual steering, manual brakes, manual transmission, and no air condition. The radio is missing, may have been a "delete," not sure. No antenna makes me wonder. It does have the pop out quarter windows. Fly into Atlanta and drive it home, or I can arrange shipping to ANY address in the world (I think). I have provided a photobucket link for you to review photos of the entire Roadrunner.
