My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. I buy traded vehicles in volume and resell them wholesale directly to the public through eBay. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you big bucks over what a retail dealer would ask for the same vehicle. Each vehicle is thoroughly road tested before being listed on eBay so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. Vehicles are available for inspections and test drives by appointment only at my York, PA storage facility. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Please take the time to read this entire description carefully and review all photos before bidding. I am not a mechanic but I give as much information as I can about each vehicle I sell. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 2001 Range Rover 4.6SE for your consideration. The Range Rover's reputation preceeds it as one of the most capable off road vehicles ever made as well as offering premium luxury. If you're a first time Rover buyer, you should do a bit of research on them. If you aren't prepared to maintain a Rover, you should probably buy a 4Runner. Honestly, you get used to it... Even with typically at least one thing broken all the time, they are great vehicles and you'll love owning and driving it. I would rate the exterior condition of this Range Rover to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition for the age and miles. The silver exterior shows very well and looks great from any angle. There are no major cosmetic flaws to mention. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact. The body lines of a Range Rover are classic and easy to pick out in a crowd. The alloy wheels are in good condition all around. The tires are average and should last another year... There is a towing hitch at the back, too. This Rover gets a lot of looks anywhere I drive it. I would rate the interior condition of this Range Rover to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. The door panels are clean and tight all around. The carpets show well throughout the cabin. The seats are dark gray leather piped in black which looks great. The leather seats are in great condition throughout. The headliner is beginning to sag a little above the cargo area but is clean. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. This Range Rover comes with one key/remote. The factorysecurity system is working properly. The two front seats are heated. The factory radio has been upgraded to a CD unit. The original Harmon/Kardon speakers sound great. The automatic climate control system appears to be functioning but the "TestBook" emblem is on in the climate control panel. The nearest independent Land Rover service center is more than an hour away from me so it will go as a mystery to me. Mechanically, this Range Rover appears to be in good running condition. The 4.6L V8 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. During the times I have driven this vehicle, it has behaved pretty well. The engine keeps a steady temperature. I got an ABS light the other day while driving in the rain but it hasn't been back. There was a check engine light calling for an oxygen sensor to be replaced. That has gone away and not come back as of yet. There is an EAS fault stored in the system. Again, I am more than an hour from the nearest independent Land Rover service facility so this will go also as a mystery but here is what I know from what I've seen and what I've read. When you start it, the display reads EAS MANUAL. The suspension button is fully illuminated and the truck sits at full height all the time. From what I've read, it sounds like someone has disabled the EAS controller which makes the system default to full height. It stays at full height so I don't think there are any air leaks. My guess would be a height sensor or an EAS controller malfunction. It rides fine. The steering is tight and responsive. The brakes stop this truck very well. Out on the highway, it cruises easily and does not pull or vibrate. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. The 4WD appears to be working properly. As far as Range Rovers go, this one is about "middle of the road" as far as issues go. There is nothing going on that would prevent this truck from being driven daily as it is. Most people modify or disable the EAS unless you enjoy putting your mechanic's kids through college, lol. Here is a chance to get a great deal on a nice Range Rover. It's not perfect...but you'd be hard pressed to find a perfect Rover...then it will probably break before you get a mile down the road. You have to have a sense of humor to own one of these, I think. This is one of my favorite vehicles. I've made a New Year's resolution to thin out some of my toys. I tend to keep things I like...and I like a lot of things. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->On Feb-03-12 at 16:59:11 PST, seller added the following information: At the request of a potential bidder, I did some looking under this Range Rover and discovered that this vehicle has ALREADY BEEN CONVERTED TO COIL SPRINGS. The EAS computer has been bypassed when the coil springs were installed...which is why the suspension fault lights are on. The next owner of this Range Rover will never have to deal with the notorious air suspension issues that pleague fellow Rover owners.
